(11/16/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Philadelphia. Clear red color. Aroma of raspberries, slightly artificial, and a bit of medicinal notes. Very sweet flavor with sugar and berries. Medium-bodied. santos999 (318) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 6, 2009
Call me crazy but I didnt mind this brew. Good color with sharp raspberry notes. Mild acidity, not cloying, pretty clean, with a try aftertaste. Eyedrinkale (3235) - Astoria, New York, USA - DEC 27, 2008
Draft at the brewpub. Pink color with a small head. For what it is, it aint that bad. A little bit of tartness and the raspberries arent too bad either. Why does this place smell like a wet mop? Alldaydrinker (559) - Norwood, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 24, 2008
Pours a orange ruby hazy color with an agressive fizzy white head that dissapates rapidly to a ring. Nose is earthy, musty, tart, berry. Initial taste is sour and tart raspberry, mild citrus. Mid palate is puckering and slightly acid. Finish continues sour and berry. Very one dimensional, but enjoyed the sourness of the beer though. Palate duration is average but the mouth feel is very poor, way to aggressive. Head retention is also poor. I am glad I had chance to try it, but looking for more on this one. peter (445) - Normal, Illinois, USA - DEC 23, 2008
Orange/pink body. Nose is cough syrup, I know I*m going to hate this. Flavor is very medicinal and chalky. Equivilent to crushed up Flintstones vitamins.

on tap at brewery. Poured dark ruby color. Strong aromics of raspberry and Candy. Taste is similar with some indication of alcohol. The beer menu said this was 7perc. Good iowaherkeye (2804) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - SEP 8, 2008
12oz bottle, no date from kramer, thanks Jason! Murky brown with a one finger, fading beige head, down to a thin film and ring. Aroma of raspberry jelly and some berry hard candy. There is a little bit of toast and saltines behind all the fruit, and the toast gets a little stronger as it warms. Tangy! Tart raspberry and even a bit of lemony notes up front that turn on my salivary glands. I don’t really notice anything Belgian in this, so whatever. There really isn’t much in the way of malts in the flavor, either. Minimal bitterness in the finish. Moderate carbonation with a light body. More like a tangy soda-pop than anything else. Drinking more than one is crazy, though it wasn’t necessarily offensive. Beerlando (3343) - Orlando, Florida, USA - AUG 18, 2008
Pours a dark and hazy cranberry juice color with a small, quickly fleeting, off-white head. No lacing noted. The nose is about as fruity as they come, sweet and sour berry puree leading the charge, accompanied by sharp citric notes of grapefruit and sour lemon. Sugary and soda-like, the aroma foreshadows the flavor well. Raspberry and citrus soda is sweet up front, moving towards prickly and sour as the overly active carbonation thrashes the tongue. I’m not a fan of this one. msante79 (2244) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - AUG 15, 2008
UPDATED: AUG 16, 2008 12oz bottle thanks to kramer. Pours reddish amber with white head. Aroma is raspberries, yeast and of all things dijon mustard. Flavor is very tart and makes my lips pucker. Lots of berries and a touch of yeast. A very interesting beer and I must say I have not had anything like this before. Not horrible but would not try again. kramer (6991) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 16, 2008
12 oz bottle, from brewery. Pours a reddish amber body with a very fizzy short lived off-white head. The nose is a mix of raspberries and diacetyl with the diacetyl winning out. Smells more like juicy juice more than beer. The fruit thankfully overpowers the diacetyl to a good deal, very seedy and stemmy with just a slight tartness. Lots of risidual sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slight stickiness and fizzy carbonation. Overall, not the best fruit beer, but if you’re into alcopops, this beer is for you.
