Draft at Manayunk Brewery with Andrew, PJ, and Bros. Pours a deep mahogany with soapy off white head. Aroma is raspberries and malts. Mouthfeel is thin with notes of lager with raspberry..

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy ruby with no head. The aroma is strong berry and wheat. Medium mouth, jammy berry, light finish, good.

On tap at Johnny Brenda’s. Aroma is Kool Aid, oatmeal cookies, and malt. Pours dirty dark pink/red with a light carbonation and small pink head. Taste is fruit punch, cherry, strawberry, black cherry, and a big malt presence. Thankfully, it is not too sweet and drinks fairly cleanly. Certainly a necessary beer for many folks. Kind of exactly what I expected. Wouldn’t drain pour it but certainly not impressive.

Sampled at AC Beerfest (2014). Poured a reddish amber color with no head. Aroma of tart raspberries and not much else. Taste of tart raspberry seltzer water.

This liquid they call a raspberry ale is just something to pass by. It has a horribly unnatural sour aftertaste and its more like they dumped razzmatazz in it after brewing, rather than brewed with fruit. Perhaps the sour taste is the downstream taste provided by all the upstream sewage plants that ALL dump and overflow into the Schuylkill. At over $40 a case of cans, it doesn't work. Maybe $18 it could be sold along with the Four Locos. ---Rated via Rumors Bar Pottsville, PA 570.622.8687

From notes: Poured clear coppery-red, with a 2-finger bone-colored head. Light aroma of berry, with a woody note. Body is on the lighter side, yet lightly syrupy. Dry finish. Raspberry flavor, but more restrained than expected, with an earthy note at the back.

Really pungent berry aroma, ruby red color. First sip is fruit, but with a very dry finish. Not sweet at all, which is welcoming, but there is a sour note here that is really distracting to me (for some reason).

Hazy dark reddish brown with a thin rimming off-white head; soft sweet light aroma of raspberry; flava is of tart fresh raspberry jam and hints of wheat; feels light crisp fizzy almost ciderish; finishes softly sweet mainly tart just like a fresh red raspberry with some notes of wheat; this is much better than the Schuylkill Punch of a few years back

Reminds me of a water down New Glarus Raspberry Tart. Aroma and flavor are spot on. Raspberries are huge in this. Tart but sweet. Love the contrast. Beautiful looker. Just a very thin body.

Attractive 12 oz. can. I usually like Manayunk products but not this one. Very thin body with, as indicated, a tart but somewhst sweet flavor. Some folks may like this rather unique product but, for me, it was a drain-pour.

Light, slightly malty, with a candy-like fruit aroma. Thin at first, then a tart fruit flavor, leading to a bland finish.
