Dark wheat, but not distinctively wheaty. Lightly hopped, great floral and vanilla notes from a Belgian ale yeast, despite the German wheat name. DocLock (11048) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 5, 2004
A nice dunkel with a dark borwn color coupled with a malty, roasty, nutty, fruity flavor. Nice complexity and balance. dberger624 (1028) - Voorhees, New Jersey, USA - SEP 29, 2003
Draft at the Grey Lodge in Philly. This was a suprisingly good beer. Had a good flavor to it. JFGrind (2071) - Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 24, 2003
This Dunkel makes a nice session beer. It has a surprisingly moderate yeasty aroma and aftertaste.
