This was actually really well made. Good mellow coffee roast hiding under soft hefeweizen head. not a ton of German fruit in the yeast, just good, fresh tasting yeast, slight biscuit malt, medium hop bitterness came across more earthy or woody than floral, but still a nice aroma. well worth trying when it comes back next year. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 1, 2011
Draught at TDR: Aroma of toasting, roasting, yeast, wheat, and light clove. Poured deep orange/copper in color with a medium-sized, creamy, tan/brown head that diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Lightly sparkling. Good lacing. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Tastes of yeast, wheat, roasting, toasting, clove, spices, and some caramel. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Yeast, wheat, caramel, toasting, roasting, slight clove finish is medium sweet.
