Pale, white gold with very light straw tints and light carbonation visible, though no head is retained. High clarity.BillKismet (4072) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 9, 2015
Very difficult nose shows plenty of crabapple, skin and acid, with a strong but very abrupt fruitiness. Light earthiness and a touch of pepper.
Extremely dry in the mouth with a very big resemblance to biting in to a crabapple. Which, I gotta say, is not mine (nor many people’s, I’d imagine) favorite thing. I really was excited for this one, but the blend or fermentation is off, because this thing is just punishingly dry, tart and astringent. Either needs to finish higher or use some apples that add more body. Otherwise, clean, very, very crisp and no alcohol showing through (which is surprising given the lack of body).
Blonde body. Musty apple aroma. This one has a mishmash of apple flavors and a decent amount of tartness, with some bolder apple notes and a lingering pungence. Ok, but not my favorite from this cidery. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - MAR 7, 2015
Bottle. Pours a mostly clear pale golden color with a smallish white head on there. Nose has dry apple notes with lots of sugar. Taste is also quite dry and has a lot of the dry notes to it too. goodbyeohio (36) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 10, 2013
Pour is quite still and dull gold. Apple in the aroma with notes of earth and berry present as well. Dry up front although a tart note lingers on the palate and finishes with mild vanillins and tannins. A bit of lime zest appears during random sips. Easy drinker and not extremely complex.. definitely well-crafted and hard to find flaws, just not as interesting as the price tag suggests.
