COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewery Het Anker decided to brew an easy drinkable city beer for the Mechelenians, still peppy enough in order to enjoy it to the fullest. We brew a heroic beer called Maneblusser. Its a blond beer with an alcohol percentage of 5.8% vol. in which you can taste a subtle citrus aroma and a fine finish. Maneblusser is brewed according to the traditional method of high fermentation with refermentation in the bottle. The inspiration for this brew originates in the night of January 27th in the year 1687. The moon projected its reddish glow on Saint Rumbolds tower, which was wrapped in a dense fog. Fire, fire, the tower is on fire! shouts the dreary voice of a drunken man. The alarm was sounded and people were making haste to help extinguish the so-called fire. Before the tower was reached, the moon slowly moved through the fog. From that moment on, the Mechelenians are called the Maneblussers or Moonextinguishers.

Thought this might be a good beer but to me it wasnt. A weird bitterness and lightly spices or herbs in the taste and smell.

Cask in Henglers Circus. Clear and golden with a thick white head. Banana, yeast and citrus aroma, flavour is sweet, bready, fruity without leaving much aftertaste. Creamy, which surprised me a little but ultimately worked. Nice

Clear golden beer, thick white head. Not much aroma, a touch of light fruit. Taste is bready, fruity and spicy. Very light given the strength. Could have gone it being a bit more chilled.

Flesje gedeeld met joep. Bleek geel, troebel bier. Aroma is hoppig, smaak is fruitig (citrus, sinaasappelschil). Smaak is fruitig en ietsje bitter. Bittere smaak blijft even hangen.

19.10.2016 - Light yeasty blonde ale with a decent hoppy note beside the medium body. Blonde in coulur with foamy white head in the right glass. A blonde as it should be.
