COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewery Het Anker decided to brew an easy drinkable city beer for the Mechelenians, still peppy enough in order to enjoy it to the fullest. We brew a heroic beer called Maneblusser. Its a blond beer with an alcohol percentage of 5.8% vol. in which you can taste a subtle citrus aroma and a fine finish. Maneblusser is brewed according to the traditional method of high fermentation with refermentation in the bottle.

The inspiration for this brew originates in the night of January 27th in the year 1687. The moon projected its reddish glow on Saint Rumbolds tower, which was wrapped in a dense fog. Fire, fire, the tower is on fire! shouts the dreary voice of a drunken man. The alarm was sounded and people were making haste to help extinguish the so-called fire. Before the tower was reached, the moon slowly moved through the fog. From that moment on, the Mechelenians are called the Maneblussers or Moonextinguishers.

Prachtig biertje dat vol van smaak en geur is voor een blond bier. Licht fruitig aroma, klein bittertje in de smaak, maar sowieso een van de mooiere, lichtere blonde biertjes op deze klootaard

Draught at Het Anker. Lightly hazy blond with a delicate head, leaving nice lacing. Dry and slightly vinous, with fragrant chamomile and fruit in the aroma. Lightly hoppy and fruity through the flavor as well. A very impressive blond with delicate floral and fruity notes, but everything is balanced and this leads to drinkability far exceeding most 6% beers. A great way to kick off the day.

Kolor jasnozloty, lekko zmetnione. Bardzo obfita piana, genialnie oblepia szklo. W aromacie pelno gumy balonowej, bananow, gozdzikow, owocow, przypraw. W odczuciu polpelne, gladkie. W smaku drozdzowo-kwaskowate, mocno przyprawowe i to wlasciwie tyle, ale dobrze pijalne. Goryczka niska, mocno przyprawowa i lodygowa.

Bottled, thanks Rune! Pale yellow, lively head. Citric nose with coriander and marzipan. Dryish with slender body and crisp, rounded mouthfeel. Nicely drinkable and mild with some spices and spicy hops. Quite bitter finish. Elegant.

Golden yellow colour, fluffy white head. Fruity aroma, grapefruit (pompelmoes), malts. Flavour sweet malty, somewhat bitter, quite dry and quite spicy hops. Finish bitter and a bit sweet. I quite like this one. (From 33cL bottle at a pub in Mechelen)

Bottle @ Le Trappiste, Altrincham. Hazy Amber-orange with a carbonation and a thick frothy head. Good nose with some fruitiness and a pale texture. Theres slightly more fruit in its dry taste and is an excellent Belgian blonde.

Tasted today on tap @ Perron M, beerfestival Beer Brothers, Mechelen. Almost clear blond color, wth nice white head. Aroma: yeast, fruits touch, hops. Medium body. Taste fruity, with malt notes. Good hop bitterness. More hops than Margriet before. Like it.
