3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clean black color with a very small tan head. Smell is roast, both burnt toast and coffee being present. Just the smallest hint of mint. Taste is definitively roast, some chocolate notes, very dry and not at all bitter. The mint flavor is very subdued, coming out mostly in the finish, and still subtle. A decent stout, but I’d actually like to get more mint out of it.
Tap; pours nearly black with a tan head; aroma of roasted malt, mint, chocolate, and little bit of coffee; taste is coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and mint; finish is dry and lightly bitter Ericular (1042) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 31, 2015
Pours very dark with a thin brown head and good lacing. Aroma is decent, with mild roast and light coffee with some noticeable mint. Taste is OK, with a pretty thin roast flavor profile, that goes down quick and easy with just a hint of mint hanging around. I might give it 1 or 2 pity points if it was Christmas Eve or something, but still... Atom (2596) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 1, 2015
On nitro tap at town hall lanes, pours a dark brown/black with a small tan head. Mild mint aroma, chocolate, and roasted malt. Slick texture, chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, really light mint. Can barely taste the mint, flavors don’t really mesh together well. I’ve had worse. bluemooner (657) - East Bethel, Minnesota, USA - JAN 2, 2015
Tap. Pours a dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is peppermint, chocolate, and malt. Flavor is more peppermint, lightly roasted malt, caramel, milk chocolate, and sugary notes. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Not bad. Nuffield (4245) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - FEB 3, 2014
A fine stout but I struggled to get mint out of it, except for a light Thin Mint cookie. Decent. Nice bottle--still a sucker for wax.

Bottle with waxed top. Near black with a thin tan head. Roasted malts, milk chocolate, soft peppermint, mocha, and minerally. Taste is lightly sweet, a bit more on the dry side. Body is medium light with a chalky feel. Surprised not to see more mint stouts, dessert-like. vikingguy (1106) - Carver, Minnesota, USA - JAN 4, 2014
Pitch black with foamy tan head. Toasty mint chocolate aroma. Tastes like a thin mint. Surprised how much I liked it. Roasty, minty, chocolatey.

Pours dark with an off white head that fades quickly. Not really detecting much complexity in the aroma, almost has an off putting smell with a hint of peppermint. Taste shines in comparison to aroma, nice coffee and mint flavors that aren’t over bearing. overall, not bad! jcnielsen (3416) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 14, 2013
Bottle. Pours a black color with off white head. Mint, mocha, roasty aromas. Mint, coffee, roasty flavors. A fun mint beer to try.
