This ale’s strength is it’s simplicity. We use copious amounts of Columbus hops which really shine through. Unfiltered and unpretentious.

Received in a variety pack from friend. Orange appearing. Piney aroma, only mild sweetness. Not too much aroma. Bitter taste, one again with only mild sweetness. Very bitter finish. After taste not very enjoyable. Lacks balance. Not that enjoyable but nice to try a one hooped beer for the experience.

6.0% as Atlantic New Guy at the brewery. Hazy gold color with a small white head. No lacing. Extremely strong piney hop flavor. Not my style.

6.2% as Atlantic New Guy IPA at the brewery. Pours hazy golden with low white head. Aroma of pine, citrus. Taste is floral, bitter, quite medicinal. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.

Clear golden coloured body with a peach tint and a thinnish, one centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of fresh, light alpha acid hops with some grapefruit, pine, earth, lemons and a bit of alcohol also noticeable here. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong bitter flavour of resin, grapefruit, pine and flowers coupled with some light malt, a touch of cleanser and a lot of funky strong flavours. Aftertaste shows more of the funk and super pungency than anything else, with a good deal of alcohol, but way more alcohol and pungent bitterness coming through than anything else. Overall, a decent beer at best, but the hops are too thin, the complexity is gone and the pungency and bitterness is off the charts, and not in a traditional IPA sense, this is just pungent and strong. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Hannaford in Portland, Maine on 30-July-2016 for US$9,99/six pack sampled at home in Washington on 24-September-2016.

Bottle from Chevy Chase Supermarket. Dark amber body with big head. Nose is hoppy, sweet and pine. Good stuff. Taste is really nice, of hops, caramel, spices. Creamy, nice texture and finish.

rjplumer (1236) - Foxboro, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 28, 2015
(12 oz. bottle) Mild citrus and pine aroma. Frothy white head that only reluctantly fades away. Rich copper body that has light haziness. Has a bold bitter bite balanced with mild malt smoothness. Has a light fruit taste in the finish. Enjoyable to last drop.

Palidor19 (3194) - Brandon, Florida, USA - SEP 13, 2015
This beer has a nice rich frothy, malty look. The taste is all hop bitterness with the obvious make in the background, still. The bitterness is a strength and makes it a worthy drinking beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Crystal clear orange. Big white head. Light citrusy aroma. Very crisp and sharp. Citrusy and floral. Medium bodied and smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I really want to like this IPA, but for some reason I don't. It has ok hop smells and flavors, especially on the front end, but through the aftertaste I have a hard time with it

musinj6 (510) - Dedham, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 1, 2014
Pours a golden with a hint of haze. 1 finger head that quickly diminishes. moderate lacing. Lots of pine and grapfruit hops. Heavily bitter/very hp forward. No sweet at all. Medium body with moderate to heavy carbonation. Long, very bitter finish. This is decent, though very straight forward and not well balanced.
