Can from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is juicy tropical fruits, fairly strong tart peach, fruity hops, mango, and pure orange juice. Flavour is quite bitter and lightly sweet with an aggressive hop burn in the throat, it's a bit too much. Body is medium. Interesting but flawed, pure bitter fruit juice, a likeable if unbalanced curiosity. Ratman197 (15746) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - OCT 13, 2017
16 oz can poured a cloudy orange with a lingering ring of ivory foam. Aromas of straw, yeast, orange, peach and mango. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, yeast, citrus and light peach with a smooth dry lingering bitter yeasty finish. willisread (3934) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 2, 2017
Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a thick, milky orange with a finger of head that dissipates quickly. Tart peach and green mango and pineapple nose. More tart fruit, passion fruit and mango skin bitterness on the palate. Canned fruit syrupiness, very heavy with lowish carbonation. Lingering bitterness and sweet fruity syrup. >> Full haze orange color with weak foam. Nose is sticky stale IPA, dark orange, maple. Flavor is bitter up front, most bitter beer on tap today, a bit unbalanced compared to others. A lot of what I love about Mantra’s beers is that they are light-bodied, even their stouts and Scotch ale. This one seems to replicate the chewy, old school IPAs that every brewer in the US makes. No thanks.
