From the bottle at the brewery. Lots of dark fruit and wood flavors and aromas. Very good stuff. Tmoney99 (14460) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 18, 2015
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate dark fruit, toasted malt, bourbon alcohol and wood aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Moderate dark fruit bourbon sweet flavor with a medium dark sweet finish of moderate duration. [2/15/15] Draught at Toronado in San Francisco. As Twisted Manzanita Serenity. Dark brown. Sourish aroma with malt, dark fruits, oak and hops. Sweet-sourish flavor, a bit boozy, with malt, dark fruits, wood, tannins and bitter hops. Medium to full-bodied. Cory (372) - , California, USA - MAR 2, 2015
Bottle. Aroma is of browned butter, brown sugar, and molasses. Taste is sweet with a lingering bitter chocolate finish. This beer is good but has the taste of a beer aged too long and paste it?s prime. It?s only 6 months old. slowrunner77 (12040) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 24, 2014
a couple years on the bottle. Whiskey presence is very light compared to some of the boozy monsters out there. Strong, but no way did you think this was 12%. Light oak and whiskey aroma, more straight forward malt assault with a good dose of bittering hops for a 2-y-o beer. Classic american barleywine for the most part, with the barreling coming through pretty lightly in the flavor too. Nice."

12 oz. bottle shared by Keir at the hotel after RBSG’s grand tasting. Thanks, Keir. Pours a clear reddish amber with a small off-white head. Notes of brown sugar, toasted malts, and booze-soaked dried berry fruits. Some cardboard hints at oxidation. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, malty, dry mouthfeel. Not bad, but seems like it’s on its way out. crossovert (12912) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 22, 2014
355ml bottle, thanks Kier. YEs I haven’t had this. Very harsh and fruity, lots of barrel booze.
