Bomber from Casa De Oro. Tart, almost vinous nose. A hint of spice as well. Quite dry and somewhat saison-like. Decent spice. Highly carbonated. 2011 edition. 8.8%. Alcohol is quite well hidden. slowrunner77 (12594) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 5, 2014
"2013 - Witch’s Hair Pumpkin Ale. Not sure that they were going for this, as there was no mention of it on the label description, but damn this thing tasted and smelled of PICKLED ginger. Very. Obviously. Pickled. Not sure how you’d get that by mistake, but it was at the foresfront. Most of us kinda dug it, as it stood out from the crowd. Decent use of spices and pumpkin/squash as well, but pickle dominated :) I’d like to have again just to compare."

Draft at the brewery. Pours a cloudy orange/light brown, with off-white head. Roasted pumpkin seeds, cinnamon, allspice, clove, and bready malt. On the dry side of pumpkin ales, not very sweet; also it is pretty high in alcohol, I think it was close to 10%, and the abv does come through a little. 12oz can @ KBF 2014. Pours a murky dark amber color with a slightly off-white head. Smells of pumpkin pie along with a nice spicy earthy hop aroma. Taste has strong vegetal notes accompanied by yam and pumpkin, along with light spice and notes of nutmeg and allspice. The body is medium with a moderate carbonation and a pretty dry finish.
