COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kick back and crank it up as weve done all the brewingthe we being us and the special guest appearances of two heavy hitters in the indie craft beer industry: New Mexicos Marble and Colorados Odell. Credited with 58 years of brewing chops, our trio built their wheat ale foundation on the classic C hops. Then, we rocked a pure hop triad of M hops to achieve a supercharged succession of orange, tangerine, lemon, lime, spice and dankness. The undulating riffs of Motueka, Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria hops slash through the wheat haze with equal footing, never playing over one another. The cacophony of flavor is what fans would expect with a name like Megawheat. So join us as we forge ahead on a path that directly leads to the main stageand then off the front of it, into the crowd! If you feel the urge to smash the bottle afterward, dont. Thats what guitars are for.

Bomber. Orange pour, slightly hazed, with a white head. Sweet, wheat, orange, caramel, mild bitterness, and a bit fruity. Meh, ok, not amazing.

Bottle. Pours golden orange with a white head. Citric hop base, some flowery notes, mild malty sweetness, marmalade, and a spicy hoppy finish. Not bad.

Thin off white head of fine bubbles with light carbonation. Light citrus and straw aromas with some wheaties cereal and floral hops. Color is a medium gold with good clarity. Strong hops presence in the flavor and a bit sweeter than expected. More straw, lemongrass, herbal hops, rye and dandelion greens. Light alcohol presence. A little dry and chalky at the finish. A pretty tasty brew.

On tap. This drinks dangerously smoothly. Theres a gentle, citrusy wheat sweetness and a lot of fruity hop aromas, but, except for the tons of hop presence, theres very little to suggest that this is over 8%.

A 22 oz bomber, bottled on 9th January 2017 and to be enjoyed by 6th April 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass. It was a clear copper orange colour with a two finger white head that had great retention and nice lacing. Aromas of orange flesh and peel with hints of honeydew melon. Tastes bitter with lots of citrusy orange peel and pith, pine, dankness and hints of apricot plus melon. Im also getting a tinge of alcohol here and there. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall this was ok, but mainly, Im just not fond of getting any sort of alcohol booziness in any IPA, and in this case, I kept getting a tinge of just that, here and there.

Bottle. Poured with a rustic, woodsy orange color, nicely-sized head (so to speak). The aroma is intriguing ... earthy, spicy, outdoorsy. Drinks with a well-muscled build, meaty and hefty. The aromas carry to the flavors, musty, dank, gristy, yet also with a hint of a citric kiss. Quite nice. (#6541, 3/21/2017)

2017-03-17. Lightly hazy orange body, modest white head. Aroma is lightly fruity, citrus notes, light alcohol. Flavour is similar, modest citrus, lightly muddled, wheat / grain touches are similar to other DIPAs I have had with wheat or oats. Smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Just okay. 7/3/7/3/14 Bottle shared by mds.
