COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kick back and crank it up as we’ve done all the brewing…the we being us and the special guest appearances of two heavy hitters in the indie craft beer industry: New Mexico’s Marble and Colorado’s Odell. Credited with 58 years of brewing chops, our trio built their wheat ale foundation on the classic “C” hops. Then, we rocked a pure hop triad of “M” hops to achieve a supercharged succession of orange, tangerine, lemon, lime, spice and dankness. The undulating riffs of Motueka, Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria hops slash through the wheat haze with equal footing, never playing over one another. The cacophony of flavor is what fans would expect with a name like Megawheat. So join us as we forge ahead on a path that directly leads to the main stage…and then off the front of it, into the crowd! If you feel the urge to smash the bottle afterward, don’t. That’s what guitars are for.

Poured from a 650ml bottle. Drunk 2 months after bottling. Smells nice but not too strong. Has a big fluffy head. First sip is actually a bit offensive, maybe I wasnt expecting this. I think thats coming from the Mandarina Bavaria, this gives it a real fruity element but not like with most IPAs that are kind of a juicy, tropical fruit. Alcohol level is definitely up front. Bitter, but nothing unmanageable. Not a bad beer but not one I would get again. The wheat is a bit non-existent, and the palate just takes a bit too much to get used to.

Cloudy amber orange color. Orange and citrus aroma. Big on palate with citrus and pine notes, slight sweet finish and aftertaste. Moderately full body and heaviness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 ounce bottle. Amber orange pour is topped by a large frothy beige head and clinging lace. Rich toasted malt nose has fruity notes. Toasted malt flavor has buttery, caramel notes. Spicy hops are complex with hints of red berry, orange, lime and coconut. Bittersweet hop finish is very tasty. Nicely done.

Draught @ 4th Avenue Pub. Cloudy bright orange with creamy off-white head, very faint citrus aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter grapefruit taste with initially sticky sweet malt, smooth body, long bitter grapefruit finish. I did not appreciate the sweetness of the brew.

Clear golden and peach-ish coloured body with a thinnish golden coloured head, about two centimetres tall. Aroma of alcohol, peaches, apricots, bright grain and toffee and a light dose of tropical fruit hoppiness. Medium-bodied; Strong sweet flavour at first with tropical fruits and grain along with a light hoppy and herbal note near the end along with alcohol and malt with a slight medicinal and astringent flavour. Aftertaste shows some depth with the fruit flavours from peach and apricots to tropical fruits and a light hoppy flavour with some herbs and a touch of alcohol near the end and a lot of warmth. Overall, a decent Imperial IPA with some smooth flavours, but a touch too astringent and deep with not enough complexity and robustness from the hops and malt. Decent to sample, but not worth searching out nor spending a lot of money on the large format bottle. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Beer Run in Charlottesville, Virginia on 26-February-2017 for US$9,49 sampled at my hotel room in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on 20-May-2017.

amber color; hoppy aroma - citrus and tropical fruit notes; lots of citrusy hops with tropical fruit notes on a creamy, soft wheat base

Bomber. Golden with a hint of amber hue. A big level white head. A complex hop aroma is kind of all over the place. Flavor is also hop centered. Wheat is kind of mixed with other malts and is not really noticed. This beer is about the hops. And they are good.
