COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kick back and crank it up as we’ve done all the brewing…the we being us and the special guest appearances of two heavy hitters in the indie craft beer industry: New Mexico’s Marble and Colorado’s Odell. Credited with 58 years of brewing chops, our trio built their wheat ale foundation on the classic “C” hops. Then, we rocked a pure hop triad of “M” hops to achieve a supercharged succession of orange, tangerine, lemon, lime, spice and dankness. The undulating riffs of Motueka, Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria hops slash through the wheat haze with equal footing, never playing over one another. The cacophony of flavor is what fans would expect with a name like Megawheat. So join us as we forge ahead on a path that directly leads to the main stage…and then off the front of it, into the crowd! If you feel the urge to smash the bottle afterward, don’t. That’s what guitars are for.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2017 mouth is very heavy and thick. hops overwhelm it a bit. Nice combo of wheat and hops in aroma. blends well. taste is more bitter hops with a low level of juniper, cassis, and sour dough bread. gold yellow. tap

7/21/17. On tap at World of Beer, Savannah. I’m not sure what I was expecting, exactly, but I was disappointed in this one. Dark orange pour with a nice khaki head. Weirdly sweet aroma, soapy, floral, wheat, sugar. Sweet flavor, lots of fruitiness, sugar, wheat, pale malts, bread. Eh.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a very small sized head of foamy fine to medium sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated body semi-hazy dark yellow orange colored body and a very good lacing. The strong aroma was hoppy musty and wheat. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish mild hoppy aftertaste. The thick flavor contained notes of wheat dough hops and malt. A wonderful best in class brew.

Very smooth but not malty double. Big taare but not like any other imperial I have had. Never would have guessed "wheat"

[my bottle (660ml) shared w/ HogTownHarry, GregClow, jercraigs & mabel] Pours a deep golden-orange with a small lasting frothy white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma (7+) of caramel malt and a good amount of hops along with some fruit and great -- kind of Wheat Wine-ish. Slightly sweet fruity and malty flavour along with wheat and hops. A bit of alcohol but relatively well hidden. Average bitter finish. Medium bodied. Really good.

2017 rating. The bummer I purchased was six months old. It might've affected the taste quite a bit, but beyond the malt from age there's a really high-quality double IPA. Well hold final judgment for a fresh batch. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Poured hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Funky/earthy orange, lime, lemon, caramel malt and grapefruit peel aroma. Very sweet orange, lime, lemon, caramel malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Nice body and balance. Nice.

From tap. Hazy golden orange with a full off white head. Citrus, piney nose. Citrus and tropical fruit flavors, grass, resin. Sticky finish. Name notwithstanding I don’t get a ton of wheat here.

Poured from a 650ml bottle. Drunk 2 months after bottling. Smells nice but not too strong. Has a big fluffy head. First sip is actually a bit offensive, maybe I wasnt expecting this. I think thats coming from the Mandarina Bavaria, this gives it a real fruity element but not like with most IPAs that are kind of a juicy, tropical fruit. Alcohol level is definitely up front. Bitter, but nothing unmanageable. Not a bad beer but not one I would get again. The wheat is a bit non-existent, and the palate just takes a bit too much to get used to.
