Who would have thought ginger and stout would go well so perfectly? The beer pours creamy, dense, opaque black. A feast for the eyes.
A bit over-carbonated but that is not a problem. Not much aroma.
The ginger is perfectly balanced and marred to the beer. Good hop finish and very pleasant palate. I will definitively be drinking this one again. hlc (10) - - JUL 3, 2012
not much ginger on the aroma, but this leads to wonderfully complex drink the ginger hiding under a great malt profile that holds its bitterness and tiny underlying bitterness holding it all together, really a must try. zacgillbanks (5185) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - JUN 22, 2012
Bottle from Trembling Madness in York. A black beer that pours with a large foamy cream head. It has an initial hit of chocolate and ginger followed by a sweet liquorice finish. Superb! Bottle Conditioned. jamesie1857 (2151) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 16, 2012
500ml bottle - Another good one, I’m edging over to the Dark Side with all these stouts I’ve just bought. Classic black body / tan head combo - the toastiness and roasted coffee aroma, coupled with an underlying spiciness leaves you salivating for the first sip. When it comes, warmth, coffee, liquorice, then the ginger sneaks in, then a dark chocolate, bitter burnt toast and nuts finish it of in the ending. Excellent stout. Oh Manchester, so much to answer for. cgarvieuk (24536) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 30, 2012

Black, big big frothy tan head, gusher, good lacing
Aroma - Lots of spicy good quality ginger, dark deep rich malts, gingerbread malts, some plain ginger chocolate, great aroma
Taste as aroma, smooth ginger, plain chocolate, smooth dark rich malts, quite sweet, great flavour, don’t notice the 6.5%, well blended, yummy flavour
Palate - soft carb (eventually), medium body. Smooth rich malty spicy palate. Finish as main flavour, just smooth and yummy
Overall - This is great stout, the ginger / dark malts balance is just right. Another winner from Marble!

Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, light ginger. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, ginger, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle shared at Paul’s big birthday bash at CPK, London. Pours brown with a moderate, foamy beige head. Big ginger nose with some nice chocolate accents. Medium to big sweet flavor with loads more ginger, light roast and some dark chocolate. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Robust ginger finish with light sting, modest roast, good chocolate. Fantastic balance. Great integration between the ginger and chocolate character. Of course you need to like ginger to enjoy this beer, but the overall balance and nuance here is excellent. saxo (18459) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 28, 2012
Bottle. Huge head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, milk chocolate, licorice, caramel and hops. Nice and dry finish. Would never have recognized ginger if it hadn’t been written on the label.
