Corked and caged from Beer Gonzo, Coventry. Pours clear-to-clouded warm amber with a high and tenacious white foam. Aroma orange rind, pronounced alcohol (acetone, Kestrel Super) and peachy hop draped with honey and caramel with a tinned Californian vibe. Similar flavour with a bittersweet honey, orange liqueur and warming peach character. Not picking up any gin or juniper. Some squidgy dried fruits, probably apricots in the blender. Pretty bog standard (overpriced) juicy IPA; for a gin-accented beer Punk-and-tonic with Bombay Sapphire pisses all over it. jamesie1857 (1986) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - FEB 4, 2014
750ml bottle from Beer Central - Clear yellow body, fizzy white head. Nose is bitter citrus, lots of IPA style hops, and of course gin. Taste is dry, lots of crisp unripe fruit in there too, with a dry gin finish. Not too exciting, but glad I gave it a go. Beese (3305) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 7, 2014
Bottle at the Pint Shop, Cambridge on 24 November 2013. Poured a hazy dark golden colour with a tight, slightly scummy white head and good lacing. Aroma of toffee, juniper and gentle perfume. Strong, but fine carbonation. Initial flavours of straw, white current and caramel. Delicious and wonderfully rounded palate, with notes of dry grain, chewy malt and definite dry gin. johndoughty (5600) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2013
Bottle. Golden and clear with a big head that took time to dissipate. But it was worth the wait. Hops and citrus merge together. Sure there was gin in there as well but I couldn’t detect it. All I got was a very distinctive and easy to drink beer.

Lots going on over a real solid IPA base. Tried the Gin (Hunters) from whom the botanicals are taken and you can detect the link. Very interesting beer for sipping as an aperitif. Nice. mR_fr0g (14028) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 26, 2013
Bottle share at Kernel big thanks to Paul Scopey. Aroma is honey, malt, nutty, booze, yeast esters and lavender. Golden orange colour with a thin white head and light haze. Flavour is caramel, honey with a touch of juniper, but could easily be imagined. Some gin tartness in the finish. Hides the alcohol pretty well. Herb and light spice. lingering bitterness. Bottle shared at The Kernel, London - big thanks to Paul R. Pours lightly hazy gold with a creamy, white head. Biscuity, bready malt aroma with soft orange notes. Medium sweet flavor with bread and crackers, light bitter hay. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish with dryish bread, more crackers, light citrus. Very tasty and well balanced. Scopey (16277) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2013
Bottle picked up by Lorna at Beer Moth. It pours hazy golden amber with a thick white head. The nose is orange peel, sherbet, tangerine, peppery juniper, old tom gin and some light sweetness. The taste is crisp, hay, toast, orange peel, pepper, juniper, floral, decent bitterness and light alcohol with a dry, gin finish. Medium+ body and fine, prickly carbonation. Smells great, but the taste doesn’t quite live up to it. Good fun nonetheless. teorn88 (8066) - Rimini, ITALY - NOV 9, 2013
75cl bottle at the Kernel, Paul tasting. Thanks to Scopey for this one. It pours deep golden/amber with little white head. slightly hoppy, gin, sweet peachy notes. Quite interesting one.
