4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Cask at the Euston Tap. A very dynamic beer. Pours light brown with a soft, off-white head. Among a predominantly roasty aroma flashes of ginger surge through like lightning. The flavor is sweet with subtle mocha notes and spiced up by the ginger. There is a modest bitterness from both the roasty malts and the ginger. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Great finish, sweet with chocolaty roast and ginger lingering in the back of the throat. A really nice beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20

Firstly I have to say I just got way too geekily excited to add my first SpiceHerbVegetable. This is a no brainer, a blend of Marble Chocolate and Marble Ginger and PLOP THE BED itís a winner! It has the appearance of Obsidian Blackbird McKnight with a perfect pillowy and completely static tan head. Beautiful rich chocolate, fruit and cinnamon spice but the ginger is just lurking in the background. As soon as you swallow you get an incredible hit of the best chocolate I have tasted outside of Belgium which is instantly, and brutally assassinated... to death... by some grizzly stinging ginger that streaks naked to the top of the hill and shouts "Iím the king of the castle!" and doesnít bugger off for some time. Strips the palate perfectly so the whole experience can start afresh each time you sip. Absolutely stunning. If you donít like ginger, steer clear. If you do, itís one hell of a ride. I have just been writing for five minutes and the ginger is still fading. Love it. Marble ROCK!
