Black, but seemingly clear. Small frothy head. Quite low on aroma. Dry, dusty cacao but not much more. Some dryness, whole fat milk. But to thin maybe. Tasty, not as sessionable as expected. BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - DEC 10, 2011

Cask conditioned at The Southampton Arms, Kentish Town, Gt London. Black with tan head. Dark, burnt, dry malts giving out an almost cocoa powder, Belgian chocolate flavour. Bitter with a smoky edge. Very interesting beer. EdKing (2640) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2011
Bottle from Kris Wines. Pours black, opaque, huge huge foaming off white head. Nose is citrous hop fruity, lemon, and lime zest. In the background there’s chocolate and ale notes. Taste is roasted malt, minerally stout notes, dark chocolate, and quite a bit of bitter citrous hops. Finish is lingering citrous hop, coffee and roasted malt bitterness. ruby black, fluffy off-white head. Hedgerow fruit nose and bramling cross blackcurrant flavour with a hint of compost. Long roast barley finish. Sprightly carbonation. Not much sign of chocolate. PotjeBier (3628) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 17, 2011
Gravity cask @ In De wildeman. Almost black color, no head. Aroma’s of fruit, cocoa, raisin, roast. Flavor is slightly sweet, chocolate, upcoming bitterness. Very little carbonation. Finishes dry and rather bitter with hints of cocoa. diabel (1721) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - NOV 13, 2011
Deep black body. Lightly brown, creamy head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate with a smokey and winy touch. Flavour of malts and hops: heavily bitter, lightly sweet. Very interesting. I think this is one of the first beers I had that combine chocolate malts and hops as well as this one. Very nice.
