Tasted at the Craft Beer, Clerkenwell.
Very dark brown in colour, but not a stout.
Lovely chocolate richness and cocoa oils as an aftertaste.
Chocolate and liquorice aroma. Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - FEB 5, 2014
Cask at Marble Arch, Manchester. Dark brown shade with tan head. Pleasant aroma featuring cocoa and vanilla. Impressive chocolatey taste with a nice little roasty kick midway through. Palate a touch thin but serviceable. Definitely one of the better chocolate beers I’ve had. Theydon_Bois (19494) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2014
Cask at the Cask, Pimlico, 29/01/14.
Extremely dark mahogony brown/light black with a moderate tan cover that dissipates to a swirl and edgework.
Nose is earthy cocoa, toffee, dark fruit notes, raisens, light roast.
Taste comprises sweeter chocolate than the nose suggested, vanilla, dark fruits, light roast.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation.
Ok stout but I expected more from Marble. ManVsBeer (10452) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2014
Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Very very dark with a thick off-white head. This has plenty of nut in its taste with a modicum of chocolate in its aftertaste. Lots of roasted malts in its flavour but not as much in aroma. mike_77 (6661) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2013
Dark brown with a thin head. Has a light body, not too sweet but well packed with chocolate malts.

Pours a dark colour, taste is rich and chocolatety with some malt, a fairly decent beer Pizd (435) - Merseyside, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2013
(Bottle): Pours black, ruby tinge with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, slight coffee. Flavour is very roasty, quite smokey too. Notes of heavily roasted malt, dark chocolate, espresso, slight vanilla and liquorice in the finish. Nice but didn’t wow me. kerenmk (4751) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - DEC 14, 2013
Cask at the Marble Arch, Manchester, September 2013. Black with a frothy, cream-coloured head. rich, a little burnt chocolate aroma, sweet and bitter chocolatey taste. Sweet, cake-like aftertaste, very smooth and cakey. The_Osprey (7984) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2013
Cask. Black with a red tinge. Big fluffy, thick, off-white head. Smell - musty chocolate syrup, yeast, slight smoke. Body is medium, not foamy, carbonation low. Good mouthfeel. Taste - mild chocolate syrup which is stronger up front than in the aftertaste. Noticeably hoppy - seemingly British hops. Hint of spice. Subtle, drinkable porter. Bottle @ Deans pale lager tasting, courtesy of jmgreenuk. Gusher!! Pours a black beer with a creamy, beige head on top. Aroma is dark roasted, chocolate and a touch of vanilla. Flavor is very full for such low abv, big on the roasty characters with a big chocolate backbone. Very enjoyable beer for sure!
