Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Rich, roasty, malty, coffee aroma. Tastes rich, roasty, malty, coffee, chocolate, some treacle, very sweet and thick. Very nice.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherd's Bush as Marble Decadence, 10.5%. Good to catch up with this one. Pours a dark brown with a slight red hue, big dense foamy brown head endures and leaves thick lacing. Aroma is fruited dark chocolate, cocoa powder, dark fudge. Body is smooth and rounded with soft to tingly carbonation. Taste is vanilla, fudgey, earthy, little charcoal, spicy finish with a little resin. Quite nice. (8-4-7-3-15=3.7)

Keg at BD Mighty Boost, 01/02/18. Light black with a decent tan cap. Nose is roast malts, chocolate, light coffee, dark malts, brown sugars. Taste comprises molasses, brown sugar, toffee fudge, chocolate, mellow roast, light charr, dried fruits. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Solid well balanced impy stout.

27Jan2018 Dark chocolate, cacao, burnt, dark malts, dark roast coffee. Clear, very, dark brown, massive, creamy, beige head. Medium to heavy sweet. More sweet, dark chocolate, cacao, dark, burnt molasses, burnt sugars, sweet, dark roast coffee, soft carbonation, full bodied. Outstanding, slow in the aroma, rich thereafter. Keg at BrewDog, Shepherds Bush.

Can from Salt Horse. Pours black, thin white head dissolving down from initial foam. Big coffee and roasted malt aroma, some booze in the nose too. It's really dry which I like - no thick oily impy here. It's complex - lots of deep coffee notes, charcoal, treacle. A bit of booze heat in the back, which lifts it rather than overwhelming it. Excellent.

Black with thin head. Aroma has a touch of wood and alcohol. Flavour has bittersweet roasted malts and burnt cream. Thick lucious texture.

Can purchased from Red Elephant Beer Cellar in TRuro. On can reads "Packaged in Nov 2017" so I am guessing this is quite 'young'. Pours thick oily black with initially medium tan foamy head which quickly settles but leaves retention throughout. Atoma is rich, full of sweet roasted malt, licorice, coffee, a touch of soy sauce and I also pick up some banana... maybe that's just me. Taste is roasty bitter but not too strong, nicely balanced with some sweetness and ever so slightly tart (perhaps as the beer is so young). Slick feeling in the mouth with just enough carbonation to liven it up. Long lasting and pleasurable finish. This is a fine Imperial Stout!

Note: 6+/10

(Marble Decadence) Bottle 750 ml, corked an caged, served into a snifter at home, ABV 8.7%. Thanks goes to Beersiveknown, cheers Steve! Black coloured body with one finger of beuge head on top, good density and retention. Aroma of olive pit, liquorice, faint chocolate notes. Taste of roasted malts, burnt wood, faint chocolate, light liquorice, nice fruity notes and quite bitter. Medium body with soft carbonation, very dry palate. Nothing extreme but honest and very drinkable.
