The pour is a clear, orangey golden color with a full, white, creamy, fluffy head which settles to a fluffy, rocky layer and leaves scattered, sporadic lace. The nose is a bit bland with pink grapefruit, black pepper, light florals, some pine, light caramelly notes, and some cracker. The flavor is similar with equal parts cracker, pepper, caramel, and resin, still some pink grapefruit, and light rustic notes. The palate is nearly full, nearly lively, oily, and velvety. The beer finishes with a moderately high bitterness, black pepper, resins, slight caramel, and some rustic lingering. Actually a decent IPA/IIPA beer; the fruity citrus and slight caramel added sweetness to the quite bitter, spicy, and resinous beer. The dryness was matched by spice and citrus to avoid any over dry beer. Not very familiar with this brewery but I like them so far.

Picked it up at Trader Joe’s in Albuquerque, N.M. Poured from a bottle into a small glass (maybe eight ounces) that I had in the hotel room in Albuquerque, N.M. on April 20. About two fingers of head. Color was a hazier version of the regular IPA and more orangish. Cloudy, pillowy lacing on the top. Tons of film on the side of the glass. Wet, cobwebby. Good-smelling beer. Got the citrus hope I was expecting, but it wasn’t overwhelming. Good balance of lemon, tangerine and grapefruit (but once again, not overpowering). Light smell of caramel. Bitter notes on the nose after awhile. The taste certainly didn’t disappoint, In fact, it reminded me a bit of the Firestone Double Jack. Just a nice smooth taste of hops and caramel, carefully balancing each other out. Medium-to-light body. Creamy finish. Average carbonation. Long-lasting, smooth finish, just a small note that it is strong. Really, really enjoyed this beer. You’re going to get drunk, but you may not notice it right away. To me it still seems close to Firestone’s Double Jack. Just a good Double IPA.

Growler Fill from Brewery. A very nice DIPA. Very heavy on HOPS and not much else. Pour a nice lite color with a thin white head.

22oz bottle poured into a Snifter at 40°. Color is a bright gold with a slight haze, good carbonation and a big rocky head. Aroma is a big citrus scent that seems to have a fruity sweetness. It has a lighter medium body with a crisp mouth feel. Flavor is heavy citrus and pinesap with a sharp bitterness that lingers in the after taste. Overall its just too much citrus and nothing else.

Thanks to yoruefragile for sharing this one. Served in a Fantome tulip. Reviewed from notes. Pours a moderate orange-ish color with a good off-white head and some light lacing. The nose has some nice fruit elements along with a touch of pine. Citrus is probably dominant. Flavor has quite a bit too much malt for a double IPA and has a bit too much malty girth as well. Hops are nice in the background. Faintly bitter for the style. Decent enough, but too dark with too heavy a hand on the malt.

Orange-gold in color with a white head. Strong pine-hop aroma which translates through to the taste.

Pours golden orange with a decent white head. The aroma is light candy and a bit earthy hop notes. The flavor of a clear, spicy, smooth light bodied IPA goes down cleanly on the palate with no bite at all.
