Great double ipa. Mild malt backbone with piny hops. Tasted on tap at marble brewery ABQ.

Picked it up at Trader Joe’s in Albuquerque, N.M. Poured from a bottle into a small glass (maybe eight ounces) that I had in the hotel room in Albuquerque, N.M. on April 20. About two fingers of head. Color was a hazier version of the regular IPA and more orangish. Cloudy, pillowy lacing on the top. Tons of film on the side of the glass. Wet, cobwebby.
Good-smelling beer. Got the citrus hope I was expecting, but it wasn’t overwhelming. Good balance of lemon, tangerine and grapefruit (but once again, not overpowering). Light smell of caramel. Bitter notes on the nose after awhile.
The taste certainly didn’t disappoint, In fact, it reminded me a bit of the Firestone Double Jack. Just a nice smooth taste of hops and caramel, carefully balancing each other out.
Medium-to-light body. Creamy finish. Average carbonation. Long-lasting, smooth finish, just a small note that it is strong.
Really, really enjoyed this beer. You’re going to get drunk, but you may not notice it right away. To me it still seems close to Firestone’s Double Jack. Just a good Double IPA. NachlamSie (3598) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 19, 2013
Pint at Marble tap room in Sante Fe. Their IPA is amazing so my hopes were high for this. It did not disappoint. Super clean resinous hop aroma with inoffensive malts. The palate is perfect for the style. Bitter citrus and pine make up the flavor. It’s very textbook IIPA but delicious and well crafted. I am a fan! brokephibroke (316) - Mead, Colorado, USA - MAR 23, 2013
A big beer. A little more copper than gold, but still a beautiful pour. A piney hop, with a great bitter linger. Kick this guy up in ABV and it would be world class. obguthr (6831) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - OCT 25, 2012
Peanut hulls, unmalted and unhusked barley, and orange peel aroma. Cloudy amber, medium sticky yellow head. Overripe apricot, maraschino cherries, grain, bread crust, crackers. Very busy and certainly not boring. Some DMS. Spellbinding complexities, neat transitions, good balance, one of a kind, but slightly flawed. Entertaining.

Hoppy pine and peach flavor, grassy, hhay, floral, caramel notes, oranges, some biscuits, citrus and grapefruit. Very good. Martinus (4737) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - NOV 9, 2015

Cask at GBBF, 2014. Dark gold pour with a white head. Tropical fruit, sweet citrus and caramel aroma. Juicy fruit flavours with a splash of fresh herb. Very nice, spot on DIPA. Sledutah (7978) - Utah, USA - AUG 24, 2014

Cloudy dark golden with a big off-white and lots of sticky lacing. Aroma of pine, caramel and fruity. Flavors of tropical fruit, caramel and pine resin
Nice hoppy DIPA
Gravity at GBBF 2014. Poured a hazy golden colour, with a dense white head. Aroma of apricot, tangerine and caramel. Citrus and grapefruit hops in the flavour, with some mango sweetness. Finish was honey, raisins and grain.
