Thanks to jjfoodie for sharing this bottle.
The beer pours a yellowish-gold color with a white head. The aroma is awesome. I get a lot of pine, oranges and papaya. An extremely fruity smelling Double IPA. I also get a little bit of biscuit malt in the aroma.
The flavor is just as nice. I get quite a bit of resinous pine, which mixes nicely with tropical fruit such as pineapple and papaya. The bitterness level is about medium. A very easy drinking Double IPA.
Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. mar (5436) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 22, 2011
bottle thanks to jjfoodie. crisp gold with a white head. hops, florals, citrus, and fruits on the nose. smooth on the palate, big bright hops, citrus, fruits, great stuff. TheRatman (8) - New Mexico, USA - APR 11, 2012 does not count
Growler Fill from Brewery. A very nice DIPA. Very heavy on HOPS and not much else. Pour a nice lite color with a thin white head. strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - AUG 9, 2012
Bomber. Cloudy yellow / gold brew with a white foamy head that clings. Grassy hop aroma, medium body with thickness that coats the mouth. A lasting finishn that is more soft than sharply bitter. A very good stronger IPA.

I like the happy discoveries one makes when sampling new beers from new regions. Somehow the fun is enough in the exploration that a 90-th percentile gem makes up for slogging through a half-dozen beers in the lower half of the distribution.
This is the gem that has made worthwhile my otherwise disappointing exploratory efforts this week in Santa Fe. It’s not a world beater --- the Sculpin and the BigEye PA that I had last week in Santa Barbara are better --- but it’s darn good and markedly better than the average new experiment on the Seattle grocery shelves. So I’m delighted, here in my hotel room, to marvel at the over-the-top (in a good way) candied grapefruit aroma of this beer. I’m enjoying the juicy tropical flavors, the well-rounded bitter finish, the laid back malts, the thinner-than-8% mouthfeel, and doggone it, the 22 oz are gone long before I’m ready to say farewell.
Pour out of 22 oz bottle, dark orange red with thin lasting off white head, pretty hazy. Aroma brought notes of big juicy citrus with orange, grapefruit, some lemon, hints of pine, grass, slight caramel, touch of dank in there as well, nice smelling. Taste is a mix of sweet orange marmalade, grapefruit, lemon, nice orange peel as well, some spice, grass in there goes into some nice caramel, toffee, finishing bitter, a bit more hops. Tasty, nothing crazy, but well executed. A little syrupy on the mouthfeel but not bad.FlacoAlto (4216) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUL 6, 2013

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, orange amber pour with thin but lasting white head, aroma has notes of aged earth, caramel, hints of sweet candied orange, pineapple, resinous pine, slight grapefruit notes as well. Taste is orange peel grapefruit, big pineapple, slight mango, hints of aged hops with some caramel, toffee, biscuit, hints of pine and resinous notes, finishing fairly bitter with some sweet notes. At this point more of a barleywine, but wish I could have had it fresh it tastes like it was very good.
Arrives from the tap with a pale tan colored head. The beer is a light amber hue that is jsut a touch darker than the Iron Horse (I think). The aroma has a solid citrus character, as well as a dank herbal character and pine notes as well. The beer has a peppery, almost woody character to it as it warms up.OKBeerFan (67) - - SEP 12, 2013
Ample citrus hop flavors as well as a dirty, almost skunky hop note that adds some bite to the hop character. The beer is medium’ish bodied, though not overly heavy and it has a light enough carbonation that provides just enoug of a prickly texture. The finish lingers into a fair amoutn of bitterness as well as a peppery, herbal character that has a bit of rosemary and menthol character, definitely resinous.
A nice Double IPA, not quite as good as the Iron Horse, but once my palate adjusts back from that, this beer comes into its own with its juicy hop character. This is definitely a bit more resinous and dank, which is a nice enough contrast when you are looking for that sort of thing.
Picked this up while in vacation in Santa Fe at the Marble brewpub. Awesome IIPA! One of the best out there. Wish they distributed to OK.

Huge pungent hop nose on this one. I'm getting wild flowers, guava and grapefruit. Nice golden hue with sexy leg-like lacing. Flavor is citrusy flowery up front and then turns slightly bready.
