No messing! Straight forward Dunkel. Dark and satisfying malty wheat flavours. Followed by resin and citrus top notes. Nice bitter biscuit and herby pepper ending. Dashimus (256) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 13, 2013
Bottle, 500ml. Pours dark copper with a thin, off white head that is moderately lasting. Aroma is nut, caramel, prunes, dark fruits, malt, reduced red wine and a light hops. Taste is heavy sweetness with a long bitterness. Malt and fruits dominate. zacgillbanks (5535) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2013

Cloudy dark brown beer, tidy off white head. Palate is light and crispy. Dunkel? There is some malt here but this beer is all about the hops - fresh orange, zingy and a little acidic. Peach. Seltzer minerals. A little tropical fruits. Finishes dry and crisp. Lovely - but not very Dunkelish! Who cares?
AROMA: chocolate, cherries, grass,
Snegurochka (397) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 8, 2012
APPEARANCE: brown, clear, white foam, frothy,
TASTE: light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour,
PALATE: full body, oily feel, lively, astringent, long finish,
OVERALL: very good bock, reminiscent of abbey beers, good balance of tastes. Too expensive though.

Dark brown body. Yeast, sour dough, cumin and kefir aroma. Tastes of barley. Reminds me of russian porrige, prunes, plum with a hint of cherry. May be some anise in there as well?
Bottle from Beers of Europe, King’s Lynn tommann (3975) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 18, 2012
Hazy brown color, small head. Some nice hop finds its way through dusty dark malts and chocolate; aroma. Good body strength, good dusty chocolate flavor, with citrusy hops and maybe a bit too much yeast.
Good and original, to me.
500ml bottle. Pours a dark ruby brown with a small head. Aroma is malty, caramel, dark berries and cough syrup. Taste is malfunction, lots of cough syrup. Dark berries. Touches of honey. Barley wine-esque. DanielBrown (4549) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2012
Bottle from The Offie, Leicester and drinked in honour of Marble Tim, and in remembrance of my Uncle John. This is a really interesting beer. It smells both hoppy, and like a Barley Wine. It tastes initially sweet, with some fresh hop, which then gives way to dark malt, then to alcohol warmth and some floral aftertaste. Full of nuances. A little thin in body, but plenty of flavour. A really good UK experiment which tips hat to German greatness. JorgeLee (2260) - Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 17, 2012
Bottle from Kris Wines. Dark caramel colour with an initial bubbly carbonation and thickish white head. Weird beer this, defies classification. Some sour, tart almost lambic notes, dark malty base, some warming booze, very small hint of dunkelweizenbock fruity spice. Not sure it entirely worked but very complex and lots going on, very enjoyable.
