Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a clear dark amber with a creamy off-white head. Caramellish yet tart aroma, yeasty and phenollic. Medium body, nutty and caramellish, yeasty and woody with a Sherry touch. And again rather tart in the finish. Subdued finish. Odd yet interesting - and not true to ANY style really. 270612 FaithHealer1 (358) - SCOTLAND - MAY 26, 2012
Bottle from the House of Trembling Madness, York. Pours a murky brown, finger of head. Aroma is great - perfume, cherry, some banana and wheat. Taste is similar, and brilliant, with some pineapple thrown in as well. Full body, fairly long finish. Ooh yes, this is good. dantheman278 (1361) - SCOTLAND - MAY 26, 2012

In bottle at home. Pours a very dark red - brown colour with a decent light tan head. Aroma of pineapple and grapefruit before yeast and roasty malt kick in. Alcohol is fairly present upfront with a nice bitter, grapefruit and mango flavour coming through. Finishes with a little burnt toast and roasty malt. Moderate carbonation with lingering liquorice and alcohol. Very nice.

From bottle. Pours unclear brown with off white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit and lemon zest. Similar tastes with some chocolate, little soapy and a little alcohol coming through. Creamy texture with a light bitterness. A nice beer but not really a german style dunkel abemorsten (3620) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - FEB 27, 2012
500 ml bottle kindly shared by gunnar. Clear chestnut with a creamy light brown film leaving excellent lacing. Nose rich with dry hops and dried fruits. Inviting. Sweet, fruity, toasted and a balanced bitterness. Gentle alco warmth and a medium to full body. Smooth to drink with a light syrupy texture. Nice one! Sigmund (7615) - Tau, NORWAY - FEB 25, 2012
Bottle at local tasting, kindly shared by gunnar. Dark brown colour, moderate off-white head. Pleasant aroma of fruity hops. Hoppy flavour, fruity and resinous notes. Some alcohol in the finish. Has not much in common with a German dunkel, nor dunkelweizen / weizenbock, but this is a good beer all the same.
