Bottled. A hazy dark amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and citrusy hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, citrusy hops, over ripe fruits, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish. Not to style. joergen (28755) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 29, 2012

Bottle at home ... short lived head ...now barest lacing ...dark toffee roast ... some cherry nose ... quite fizzy ... huge huge pine and grapefruit hop front ... sweet toffee malt roast ... dark vine fruits ... little soapy ... more a black ipa than a dunkel ... but nice madmitch76 (25101) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 6, 2013

Cloudy dark brown beer, tidy off white head. Palate is light and crispy. Dunkel? There is some malt here but this beer is all about the hops - fresh orange, zingy and a little acidic. Peach. Seltzer minerals. A little tropical fruits. Finishes dry and crisp. Lovely - but not very Dunkelish! Who cares?
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a clear dark amber with a creamy off-white head. Caramellish yet tart aroma, yeasty and phenollic. Medium body, nutty and caramellish, yeasty and woody with a Sherry touch. And again rather tart in the finish. Subdued finish. Odd yet interesting - and not true to ANY style really. 270612 Leighton (21853) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 21, 2013
Bottle at Bruce’s, London - picked up from the Bottle Shop. Pours hazy brown with a creamy, beige head. Nose seems to have some brett, hints of grass and poo. Light sweet flavor with crisp, clean brett, hints of licorice, some leathery fruits, mild sugary malts. Medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Clean finish, lots of poopy brett, some light grassy bitterness, suggestions of leathery fruits. Not anything like a dunkler bock but a damn fine beer overall. fiulijn (20993) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 16, 2012
Bottle from Beers of Europe, King’s Lynn
Hazy brown color, small head. Some nice hop finds its way through dusty dark malts and chocolate; aroma. Good body strength, good dusty chocolate flavor, with citrusy hops and maybe a bit too much yeast.
Good and original, to me.
