Bottle, in the Marble Arch Manchester, Oct 2011. Murky dark brown thin pale tan, went grey and faded away fairly quickly. Smells good, sweet roasted malts, yeast, fruits. Bit confused by it, in a blind tasting I’d kid of struggle to pick a style. Whatever, irrelevant to me, enjoyed it. Benzai (16569) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - MAR 20, 2014
Bottle shared @ weekly tasting. Clear dark red to purple color, average sized quickly diminishing beige head. Smell and taste wheat, some caramel, lightly leaves, surprisingly some hops as well. A bit weird, but decent. ansjelaah (1748) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - MAR 20, 2014

Bottle @ benzai shared by benzai. Nutbrown colour with a small off-white head. Smells sweet, incense, slightly raisins, cattlefeed. Tastes tea, hops, watery. Doesn’t taste like a dunkel weizen. Thin to medium body, no carbo. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - FEB 14, 2014
Bottle @ home. Aroma has some wine notes, oxidation, yeast and some herbal/spice notes. Seems old. Flavour is caramel, liquorice, banana, yeast. Nice one but very low on carbonation.

Bottle @ Bruce’s. Cheers to whoever brought this along. The pour’s deep brown with a small head. The nose is brett, brown sugar, maple syrup-spiked red fruits. The taste is sweet red fruit jam, a bit of cocoa. Earthy tart brett. Green apples, roasted coffee. Interesting, if unexpected flavor profile. Medium body, fine carbonation. Overall, interesting, though probably unintended on Marble’s end! Scopey (15478) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 10, 2013
Bottle at Bruce’s, thanks to Leighton. It pours dark mahogany brown with a thick beige head. The nose is earth, wood, pine, varnish, prune, date, brett, orange and Irn Bru notes. The taste is roasted malt, toasted, caramel, bitter-sweet aspect, brett, spice, dirt, date, prune, jammy fruits, wood and raisin with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Interesting, good depth of flavour and pretty tasty. The_Bish (1123) - West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUN 7, 2013
No really bothered, especially at £4.50. But I didn’t have to pay for it, unfortunately I’ve now ticked my mum’s house, though she does still have Buxton Imperial Black which I guess I’ll just have to. Yes. Bish. Leighton (22056) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 21, 2013
Bottle at Bruce’s, London - picked up from the Bottle Shop. Pours hazy brown with a creamy, beige head. Nose seems to have some brett, hints of grass and poo. Light sweet flavor with crisp, clean brett, hints of licorice, some leathery fruits, mild sugary malts. Medium bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Clean finish, lots of poopy brett, some light grassy bitterness, suggestions of leathery fruits. Not anything like a dunkler bock but a damn fine beer overall.
