COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Extra Porter is brewed to Entire Butt standards. We?ve heavily hopped this beer with Citra and Nelson Sauvin during the boil and then again with the Citra during fermentation. This has resulted in an aggressively bitter US style porter.

Cask @ Friends Of Ham, Leeds. Very dark with a small off-white creamy head. Slightly dirty in its nose, there’s a better darker malt taste with a bitterness in its aftertaste.

Draught (Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival 2017, Espoo) (6:4:6-:3:11=3.1-)
Big hoppy aroma, so much so it’s as if it’s trying to be a dark hoppy beer, rather than just a hoppy dark beer. Taste is similar, big bold hopping, but a nice roast too. However, they’re very unbalanced, and are fighting each other rather than complimenting each other. Yeah, I’m sure this was aiming to be a dark hoppy beer, but has ended up as a messily hoppy messily dark beer.

Towey1989 (3531) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2017
Cask at The Manchester Beer Festival. A hazy brown colour with a frothy tan head. Aroma of grapefruit, a little orange, coffee, dark chocolate, some roasted malts and subtle ash. Taste of grapefruit, orange, slight resin, coffee, roasted malts, some ash and subtle chocolate. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dry, slightly roasty, citrus hop bitterness in the finish. More like a Black IPA than a porter, citrus and resin come through the roasty malts nicely. Bit of ash which is weird but overall a tasty Porter.
