From bottle, the pour is cloudy and dark orange in color with a thick orange head. The aroma is yeast, caramel and sweet malts. The taste is caramel, sweet and roasted malts. The finish is slightly bitter from the hops and a strong malt backbone. The mouthfeel is medium. stevoj (5036) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 27, 2016
On tap at brewery. Very dark amber with small creamy head. Malt in spades, especially in the aroma. Hops kick in at first sip and linger for quite a while, pleasantly. ABV hides behind the hops, only evident by some gentle warmth deep in the gut. parkerj (52) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - JAN 1, 2016
