Bottle poured a hazy light-orange hue w/ a frothy slowly diminishing white head and excellent lacing. Big aromas of pine, orange, and biscuit. Flavor is light sweet initially and a moderate long lasting bitter finish. Taste is pine, orange, pineapple, biscuits and pepper. Medium-bodied, creamy texture, soft to lively carbonation, and a light metallic feel in the bitter finish. arrogantb (1402) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Bottle dated 3/23/2012, fairly fresh. Bright orange-yellow color, clear, good head. Farily hoppy smell to it, not quite dank or piney and yet not really tropical, herbal I guess. Taste is bitter, hoppy and a little chewy malt action going on as well. Overall this is a solid IPA and one I’ll probably buy again.

Very fresh can (2 weeks?), thanks fredrik!
Dark golden with a white head.
Aroma: green hoppiness, berries like gooseberries, peach, citrus.
Taste: quite a sweet maltiness, fresh and hoppy with tropical fruits like pineapple, peach, resin, citrus, light white pepper, quite a large bitterness.
Very nice. blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 10, 2012

Bottled. Poured medium-orange with a well-retained white head. The aroma picked up juicy orange and piney hoppage over caramel and light biscuity notes.. juicy, fresh, and well-presented. The flavor found spicy pine, pineapple, and orange bitterness over pale and biscuity malts.. a touch stale and oxidized on the back-end, but it did a great job until that point.. spicy, bitter, and dry on the long finish. Medium-bodied with a smooth feel on the middle and assertive bitterness around.. very good overall. brinehart (213) - Colorado, USA - SEP 28, 2012
Tasty, standard IPA. Nothing unexpected, but nothing off either. Citrusy and resinous hops, some caramel malt. Something odd in the nose...just a touch of hot alcohol maybe.

Hazy dark gold with a lasting small pillowy head. Amazing hop aroma of fresh floral resiny grassy hops, low aroma bitterness, and some dank caramel. The taste was nice and hoppy but not too bitter, like the liquid version of several hop varieties thrown together on a nice balanced body, with a small caramel sweetness, with lots of floral, pine, and grassy notes, with a hint of grapefruit. Sweetn finish, but still hoppy. jtclockwork (16603) - , New Jersey, USA - SEP 22, 2012
Bottle from a generous trader. Pours orange amber with white head. Nose/taste of grapefruit, citrus, florals, perfumy hops and caramel malt. Medium body. Finishes bitter grapefruit peel. scottyshades (130) - Parkland, Florida, Florida, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Thanks to knm for the bottle! Wanting to try this for a while now
A: Pours a slightly hazed but mostly transparent pale gold color with a big fluffy white cap. Retention is pretty good, not too much carbonation to speak of
S: Very resinous and very piny hops right off the bat...its one of those IPAs that spreads across the room when opened. Light grapefruit as well. Malts are kind of present, but don’t really have any significant presence, only a faint caramel note.
T: Very very resinous and piny...similar to Green Flash’s IPA, and other various West Coast offerings. Huge hop presence, not very well balanced but I’m still enjoying this one.
MF/D: Bitterness leaves the mouth a little parched, definitely a palate wrecker of an IPA. Medium body, carbonation is nice...only a little rough
Notes: I’ve read on the forums that this is similar to Sculpin, but I completely disagree. It’s missing the yeast in the flavor and the tropical fruits in the nose/flavor. Still an excellent beer
Thanks to knm for giving me the opportunity to try this!
