Ungstrup (38249) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - DEC 28, 2009
Cask at Marble Arch Inn, Manchester. A pale amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, grassy hops, elderflowers, and some grapes. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and lots of hops - lending it notes of grass and elderflowers - seemingly a combination of UK and US hops, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is light.

Cask (Market Porter, London) as "JP Lees" @4.3%, not sure it’s exactly the same.
Peach and apricot aroma. Refreshing in the mouth. Sweet fruity taste, some grapefruit as well as apricot. Grapefruity finish. Well balanced, tangy, and tasty summer bitter. Did I mention fruity?

Cask, 4.3% at the brewpub as Marble Best. Weak grapefruity aroma. Almost clear dark golden colour. Creamy white head. The flavour has a hint of grapefruit and a little sweetness. OK grapefruity aftertaste.

Cask at Merton Summer B.F ’08. Hazed gold with white head. I was very impressed with this beer, really good sharp grapefruity hop notes with touches of peach and a slightly spicy, dusty hop note. Really well balanced on a medium roasted body with a good graininess. Excellent beer.
