Can from Great Grog. Clear pale golden body with a fluffy white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of lemon and cereal. Flavour of grass, white bread and earthy hops. Thin to medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Light fizz. A simple, clean beer. It’s called Pint, yet comes is a 500ml can. Go figure. Can. Beer Central, Sheffield. Very pale gold. Very soft haze. Thin, spotting, clingy, white head. Nose has twangy lemon. Gooseberry and kiwi and all that pale green stuff. Light and yeasty malt background. Taste is twangy bitter. Some definite sourness going on. Super clean mouthfeel. Light and bright. Sharp, clean bitterness to finish. Great use of NZ hoppage. zacgillbanks (5127) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - APR 17, 2017
Can from Coppers, Newcastle. Hazy straw coloured with a thick white head of foam. It has a bitter-sweet floral fruity and citrus flavour followed by grapefruit and malt on the smooth finish. Superb! nihtila (3603) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 24, 2017
Cask at Heriot Watt. Hazyish golden. Nose is grass, bitter, a bit piss, unpleasant. Taste is better, easy, bitter lemon, fruits. BeardedAvenger (739) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - MAR 22, 2017
Cask at the Globe Tavern, Borough. Sweet floral and herbal (herbaceous border?) aroma. Light gold, with a slight haze to it. Frothy washing up liquid head. Light sour through to a sweet finish. Lime. Hops. Icing sugar. Light bodied. Watery but this aided by a soft carbonation. The latter is more evident into the long dry finish. A decent (half)pint.

Grain and biscuit malts, some citrus fruits, light flora notes and straw. Clear, pale gold, small, creamy, white head. Light bitter. More grain malts but immediately dominated by floral hops and grass, soft carbonation, light bodied. Nice Golden Ale, very flavourful, nice hoppy bitterness in the finish. I’ve had this one a few times over the years, but finally got around to rating it during a recent visit to Manchester...McWorta (1627) - LUXEMBOURG - MAR 26, 2016
Cask at the Marble Arch Inn - Manchester. Pours clear, pale yellow with a thick, creamy white head. The nose holds rindy citrus fruits, hay and biscuits. Light sweet flavour with subtle bitter grass, straw, dry pale bread undertones. Light bodied with fine carbonation; nicely conditioned. Great balance in the finish, with good citrusy hop character, pale bread sugars, light lemony tang. Excellent golden overall - a true classic.
Clear and bright golden with a fluffy white head offering very good lacings. Aromas of toast, biscuity notes develop with a whaff of elderflower and a hunch of floral and white grape notes. Softly carbonated, lightly slick with a medium body. Clean and crisp, well balanced offering a soft sweetness supporting the hop bite in harmony. Short-medium lasting finish. Enjoyed that!
