Tap @ Brewery. Pours light-copper color, hoppy, malty nose, toasted caramel and spicy rye flavors on the palate, citrusy, clean, hoppy finish. Overall, a big-bodied lager with malty flavor. Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 5, 2011
Draft @ brewery tap Santa Fe. Thought this was a rye pale ale. It’s warm copper gold. Chewy, slightly sourmash in the aroma. Hello rye. The malt character is very rye, balanced by a friendly even-tempered hop. I’m not a big rye fan but this is a good brew. Terminus (3740) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - OCT 1, 2011
tap at brewpub-pours bright orange with a soapy white rocky head. nose is slightly spicy grainiy with some spicy german hop character. some mineral aspects as well, which is pretty typical for this brewery. however, it was nothing to draw down on this beer in terms of enjoyment. flavors of dry rye malt, spicy hops and nice toasted grains-not husky but very flavorful malt profile. somewhat sweet as well which is balanced by the dryness and german hops. a very well put together beer here! long earthy finish of the meld of hops and malt grains. a very great lager here! Amber, very slightly hazy, with a thin head. Fresh, fruity hop with light caramel. Toasty, caramelly character. Rye, crystal malt and other sticky things on the palate. Good brew.
