Pours amber with no head. Aroma is caramel, fruit, plum and raisin. Flavour is caramel, alcohol, raisin, plum, sweet. Quite bitter aftertaste. mjs (7675) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 24, 2010
(Bottle at Chris & Ruth, huge thanks) This was a quite nice barley wine. Maltiness wasn’t really intense but you could feel that a lot of malts were used when brewing this. Age had brought some raisiny and dried plum like aromas and flavours. The alcohol was present but it didn’t hide the flavours. A pleasant new acquaintance.
