Cask at the Euston Tap, London. Pours clear yellow with a tight, white foam head. Looks good. Pungent citrus, piss and straw in the aroma. Great flavor, well balanced, medium sweet with more urine, ripe citrus, lemon, mango and light sugar. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with lots of salty pee and grass. Delicious beer with great depth. This one almost drinks like an IPA with the hop profile it’s got. Awesome beer right here. Cask gravity at Reading BF 2012. Clear gold thin white head. Some hop on aroma that grows nicely in the mouth. Yes a drinkable slightly grassy golden ale. Good hop sting on finish. ManVsBeer (10448) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - APR 29, 2014
Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Yellow-gold with a small head. Nice session stuff with an underlying small fruity sweetness and only a small bitterness. Very pleasant in the palate. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 3, 2013
My Bottom Line:
Delicate caramel and peaches meet leafy hops and their bitterness in this slender quencher.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the clear amber shine.
-Malts could be more revealing.
-Menthol hop whiffs appear here and there.
-This is very well-made, but definitely forgettable and generic.
On cask at Dean Swift.
