Beautifully soft chocolatey aroma. Almost black, ruby glints, loose tan head. Much richer burnt body. Not ashy though. Full, but also very drinkable, body. Finish leaves you with a lovely mellow burnt roast - nice one!
Cask Ale tasted at Gallows Bird RAF. Nose of dried dark fruits and malt. Tiny head. Dark brownish black color. Soft slightly dry mildly hopped raste. Some hints of espresso. Dark plum. Coffee in the aftertaste. Brandman (2941) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 1, 2013
Cask at Gallows Bird. Black body, light brown head. Aroma has roasted malt and some lactic acid. Flavour has some ash and dry acidic maltiness. Quite light palate. Thin. Something weird in a good way. Feels like double dry stout. rosenbergh (11532) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 25, 2013

(Cask at Gallows Bird Real Ale Festival ’13) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had roasted malts, white coffee and chocolate. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were hops, roasted malts, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, hoppy and bitter. The hops softened the very burnt flavour nicely. A well-done brew.
