24th September 2010. Borefts Beer Festival. Papsoe (25059) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 17, 2010
Slightly hazy lemon gold beer. Suddy white head. Slightly sour nose. Softish palate - low carbonation. Pleasant grapefruit citus hops, not overly bitter. Some tangerine and satsuma flavours (thanks to Harrisoni for digging those out). Finishes dry. Decent IPA but perhaps the most conventional of the Vuur & Vlam family.
Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy golden with a dense and lacing off-white head with a fine retention. Fresh and citrusy nose, a little soapy. Medium body, sweet fruit - peachy and exotic with a dry and hoppy finish. A little dusty. Solid bitterness. Not the worst Vuur & Vlam version. 171110 Leighton (22027) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 7, 2010
Bottle at The Cad’s Pure Mad Rocket Mon The Beezer Tasting. Cloudy orange pour with a medium, white head. Vegetal, fruity hops, with light caramel notes in the aroma. Flavor seems restrained, malty, British, with some pine and mild citrus. Medium in body with average carbonation. Moderate finish with nice balance, further vegetal and pine bitterness, light caramel and wet bread. Better than decent.
