awesome belgium from the moortgat family. hazy golden beer that drinks smooth considering it has 10abv.

Big frothy head on top of a golden yellow pour. Full malty body taste. The great spice flavor is what sets this beer apart. Hard to pick out the mixture but it hides the alcohol completely.

At a cellars tasting. Bright yellow color with a sweet spicy aroma. Smooth thick finish on this well spiced beer.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2008 Perfect blonde, slightly hazy, filling fluffy head that crested just over my trappist glass. Aroma changed as I had to pour this in 2 stages. First was a musty farmhouse, then burnt toffee, and finally deep yeast. Delicate notes like I’ve found in wheat based beers clashes with the sting of the high alcohol and an ongoing sour character with lemon notes. Residual honey sweetness.

Pours dark amber. Very carbonated and has a thick foamy head. A very delicious beer. Sweet flavor, hints of banana and yeast. Slight bitterness in the finish. Fairly high in ABV so its not sessionable. One or two would do you good though.

Enjoyit (3809) - Vadum, DENMARK - AUG 27, 2007
Amber of color with a beige head. An aroma of spice, balanced sweety notes, no alcohol and sweet fruits. A flavor with sweets, some bitter notes and apples.

330ml bottle from Zinister. Pour is clear golden orange with a large, rocky white head. Aroma is Belgian spiciness, earthy and a faint fruit sweetness. Taste is dried fruit sweet at the start, a bit earthy sweet in the middle and some heat to the finish. This beer was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary.

bhensonb (15083) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 17, 2007
Aroma of caramel, yeast and peaches. Golden amber color with a frothy white head. Tiny bubbles. Thin to medium bodied. Spritzy carbonation that turns creamy. Yeasty, mild spice, light stone fruits, and some hop. Finish is rather dry, and it is lightly bitter. Very tasty.

screwball (1099) - Motala, SWEDEN - AUG 15, 2007
Golden body and a white head. It´s aromatic, hopy, grassy and flowery. Flavor brings pepper and yeast. The alcohol shines through to much.
