Ritzn (1412) - GERMANY - APR 6, 2017
Hazy brown with medium white head. Aroma is citrus pips chestnut grass minimal roast and brown sugar. Taste is a bit sour citrus with medium caramel sweetness and medium roast bitterness. Medium body ok drinkable. Slight mealy finish. The combination of fresh sourness and doppelbock is rather meh for me.

Calisky (2941) - ALSACE, FRANCE - APR 5, 2017
Couleur ambrée sombre, petite mousse beige. Nez malt d’orge, caramel brun. Gout caramel brun avec malt toasté et note de pain. Bon corps. Fin avec amertume sur le caramel

09-09-16 // 500ml swingtop bottle bought at the brewery. Dark brown, medium hazy with solid white beige head. Yeasty malty, sweet. Some caramel, roasty aromas. Bread notes. Still some banana fruit.

MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - AUG 21, 2016
(swing top bottle) Hazy, ruby brown colour with a tall but quickly collapsing tanned frothy head. Slightly dusty, toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, chocolate and bread crusts. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a prickly carbonation. Toast-malty base with notes of bread crusts, toasted grains, caramel and shades of herbal hoppy spice; moderately sweet and delicately hop bitter finish with bready notes and caramel in the aftertaste. Not as sophisticated as anticipated. 21.VIII.16

50 cl bottle @ Timo A.
Pours dark copper-mahogany color with a small head. Malts, caramel, some toasted notes, ripe fruits and faint yeast. Malty flavor, not that sweet though, some dark berries, yeast and caramel, faint wooden notes on the finish. Malty, full-bodied and not overly sweet. Quite nice.

lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 23, 2014
500 ml bottle, thanks Timo A. Pours a dark brown colour with a red hue. White small creamy head. Aroma of toasted malts, some sharp berries, mils caramel and bread. Flavour of rich toasted malts, fresh herbs, rich tart berries, grass and bread. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. Dry, warming, malty finish. Not too sweet at all. Great.

Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - MAY 1, 2014
0.5 l bottle at Timo A’s. Dark amber color. Sweetish aroma of raisins and dark bread. Sweet bready and raisiny taste with toasted nuts, honey and some herbal notes. Warming alcohol tastes clearly and dryes the finish. Fairly good dobbelbock but higher alcohols and bit on a high side.

Beerhunter111 (20487) - P´Castle, GERMANY - MAR 22, 2014
Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, leicht schokoladig, Karamell, würzig.
