Appearance: Dark, thick body. Staring down on it looks dark brown but in the light it’s more copper & amber. Thin line of head.
Smell: Caramelized is what first comes to mind. Big time sweetness (sugar) & malt.
Taste: A bit if tea floating around in the beginning but lots of malt and sweetness. Caramel & toffee in there also. The impression i get is not soft caramel but hard caramel, like licking a caramel apple. Finishes with just a hint of smoke.
Mouthfeel: Very, very smooth like velvet coating the mouth. Carbonation is very low but that’s ok by me.

Bottle [341ml] shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & garthicus -- c/o HogTownHarry. Pours a murky amber-brown with a spare bubbly off-white head. Odd aroma of burnt maple syrup and toffee. Flavour of maple syrup, toffee, dark fruit and grapes. Average bodied. Not very good. HogTownHarry (7086) - Toronto (Harbourfront), CANADA - AUG 26, 2010
341ml bottle - shared with blankboy, garthicus and gregclow, via trade with JulienHuxley. Hazy mahogany with a smallish frothy/creamy greenish tan head (3+). Aroma of paint, wildflowers, but mostly toffee. Decent - not much alcohol, mocha toffee, again that weird hint of oil-based paint, and back palate herbal bitterness to balance it all some, nice caramel - "like slightly herbal Kraft caramels." Slick, sticky mouthfeel, average body, not much carbonation, fairly quick-finishing, with a somewhat pungent herbal/grassy aftertaste .... would have been better fresh, obviously, but not unpleasant. garthicus (2963) - Dublin, IRELAND - AUG 19, 2010
Thanks to HogTownHarry. Appearance: brown with a ruby hint to it, teeny white head. Aroma: honey, spice, little sourness, sweet like an ice wine. Weird. Flavour: dusty grapes, musty, lots of bran and a tar like quality. Weird. Miksu (5052) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - MAR 15, 2010
Bottled, thanks Timo A! Hazy dark mahagony color. The aromas of toffee, caramel, berries and warming alcohol. Sweetish toffeish, caramelly and nutty flavor with raisiny and vinous finish. Warming palate. Nice vinous dark fruit character.

Looks like liquid toffee with minimal head. Smells like peat-toffee if they made it. Flavour is aroma-advertised peat-toffee-caramel but unfortunately with a sour edge. Sour fruit, molasses and peat in the finish. I think I would really like it without the sourness. JulienHuxley (5985) - Sherbrooke, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 5, 2009
Bottle, this is getting rather old I can’t remember exactly how old though. Dark fruit aromas with heavy candied sugars, toffee and licorice. Almost flat but never as watery as when I first tasted it. Lots of dark fruit sugars, malt and molasses with a slightly bitter hop finish; some alcohol presence. punkska101 (2194) - Chambly, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 30, 2009
