amber, clear. Well maybe not the number one choice for christmas, guess thats why it’s been saved until August.

Simonsen (1321) - NORWAY - DEC 25, 2015
Flaske. Klar karamellfarget. Fyldig skumtopp moderat karbonert. Smaker metall,røstet malt og noe tørket frukt. Er det egentlig noe poeng med juleøl på 3.5%?

olsvammel (7289) - Örebro, SWEDEN - DEC 12, 2015
Bottle from ICA Maxi at Eurostop outside of Örebro. Light bready smell with a weird aroma, sulfur but more like outdoor toilette. Similar taste. Not that clean.

Turtles (2967) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 11, 2015
330ml bottle from Ica Aptiten, Stockholm. Clear dark amber. Two-finger size egg-white creamy head, leaving some lacing. Anonymous aroma, faint notes of dark sweet bread and dark sugar. Mildly carbonated, thin and watery. The tastes are light and gentle, roasted sweet notes, caramel and biscuit.

Erzengel (9504) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - NOV 19, 2015
*Bottle from Hemköp in Stockholm. Nice round and quite deep. Fresh but malty. Hints of dried fruit, spices, very easy to drink. Malty depth - especially for this ABV. Round and malty-caramelly brew.

TorbenJensen (1572) - Valby, DENMARK - AUG 21, 2015
Beautiful foam that is lasting. The aroma is full of both hard roasted malt and raisins. The taste varies over dried fruits, like raisins, prunes and dates. It is perhaps a little early (or late) to rate Christmas beer, but Mariestads Julebrygd can suitably be drunk all year round. It is clearly comparable with Belgian beer, for its yeast have this peculiar richness and taste as just Belgians have expertise in brewing.

Cunningham (8403) - Halden, NORWAY - APR 22, 2015
Clear nutty color with a fine off white head. Caramel malty, nutty and a bit fruity aroma. Medium body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation. Caramel malty, a bit bready and mild fruity flavor. Quite decent Swedish 3,5% beer.
[Bottle from EuroCash at Svinesund, Sweden]

Takie sobie piwo ale o ladnej bordowej etykiecie, ciemno brazowej barwie, pianie sredniej ale mimo to trwalej. W smaku gorycz z palonym cukrem, slodowo toffi ale z domieszka solidnego chmielu. Dziwne zestawienie, nieco ciastezek korzennych tez wyczulem.

Cool_Bond (2795) - KUNG_AV_OL @ Instagram, SWEDEN - DEC 27, 2014
Malt and wort in the fragrance. The same applies to the taste. But a little watery, too. Light bitterness in the aftertaste that fills the upper part of the mouth briefly. Not nearly as good. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Gbgbrouge (388) - SWEDEN - DEC 26, 2014
Poured from bottle, clear Cooper with low off white head. Aroma faint with notes of caramel, bread and herbs. Taste is mild with some sweetness and some bitterness but not much of body.

gyllenbock (9855) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 25, 2014
Bottle in Liljeholmen. Clear amber with a medium head. Sweet with malt, light caramel and fruit. Thin and not that interesting.
