Deep reddish brown coloured beer forms a light beige and relatively thick head. Aroma is sweet and roasted malty with coffee and chocolate. Flavors are sweet malts, a bit chocolate and a bit hops. Aftertaste is roasted. A little bit carbonated mouthdeel is medium-bodied and syrupy. Very easily drinkable and sweet porter is quite enjoyable at almost any situation.

330ml bottle. Small and fast head. Black reddish colour. Mild sweet roasted malts aroma with tatels, raisins. Pleasant semi-thick and oily palate. Flavor is surprisingly complex and has many tones. First its sweet malts, raisins, at middle some bitterness and the end has burnt chocolate taste.

NORSAND (121) - Lillestrøm, NORWAY - OCT 19, 2014
Vintage 2008. Beige head, lasting some 2-3 minutes before gradually dissapearing. Nose: Roast coffee, dark malt and quite a bit of the typical "bottle aged porter nose" (not a big compliment). Not much complexity or finesse here. Taste & palate: Medium to medium light body - a bit light for a porter. Decent freshness and acidity in the attack and some slight sweetness (off dry) in the aftertaste but again lacking some body to quite balance it out fully. Somewhat burnt taste to it. A not quite balanced porter with a certain freshness to it which at 6 years is keeping up well but also doesn’t promise much more in the way of further development - drink rather than hold. It’s freshness is actually the main thing this beer has going for it and after all that means there should be a number of foods it might pair well with.

Bottle 33cl. Nice apperance with solid head and red colour. Tastes some chocolate and a little bit coffe and carmel. Sweet in the beginning, more bitter at the end. Body is to thin in my opinion. OK porter, but nothing special.

Arôme discret. Goût torréfié/caramel léger. Pointe d’acidité. Légère amertume en arrière goût. Porter correct, sans plus.

330ml Bottle A thick smooth flavour gives this fantastic creation a well deserved place amongst the best Porters. No distinct flavour to mention. it tastes a little little bit of both Coffee and Chocolate as a Porter should. It is remarkable thick and almost creamy .

Bottle, 2008 vintage from Lund systembolaget. Pours black. Tasted of coffee, fruit and something burnt. Not the porter I expected. Just alright.
