A great fruit beer. The blueberry flavor is a perfect marriage of ingredients. Light and refreshing, this beer is great all by itself or blended with another. Try a Black and Blue which is a mix of Stout and Bluebeery Ale.

Bottle. Pours thin, fluffy white head, light golden color, slightly hazy. Blueberry nose, slightly sweet aroma. Initial taste of blueberry is quickly overpowered by sour tones, though the finish is watery and not very bitter. Slightly hoppy flavor. It’s not nearly as good as the framboise lambics I’ve had, but it’s not a bad beer either.

Bottle. Sour berry aroma with sour granny smith apple notes and light blueberries. Grassy maltiness as well. Moderately hazy golden color with a fluffy white head. Hints of blueberry, but overpowered by sourness of green apples. A light grassy note with bitterness to finish. This tastes kind of like a lambic. I am not sure if they were intentionally going for this flavor or if this is just a bad bottle or...

Golden color body with a fizzy thin head. Aroma is blueberry of course and smells like blue berry pancakes. Taste has some water and artificial fruit flavor and grain wheat. Not a good fruit beer in my opinion.

Very refreshing light and hazy beer for summer days. Excellent choice for someone who wants a different choice from the standard peach and raspberry beer standards.

As soon as I popped the top I could smell blueberries. Aroma is blueberries at first but that aroma quickly disappears, now I only smell components of a typical american wheat. Pours golden with an ever slight haze, medium head. Flavor is fairly dry. Aftertaste is of blueberries... interesting. Lots of intricate lacework.

Very pale, almost like witbier. Slightly foggy with no head. Taste like light, blueberry muffins and malt.

A hazy light yellow beer with a nice but disappearing white head. The aroma is of lemon and spices - especially coriander and with lighter notes of blueberries. The flavor is spicy with lots of lemon and wheat and only slight hints of blueberries and the body is thin.

Light yellow, bad flavor of bell peppers, starchy grains and an artificial blueberry flavor shows up at the end.

tbookman (618) - Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 2, 2004
It’s different alright, but this didn’t appeal to me at all. Hazy, medium yellow color, bubbly and fizzy, like a soft drink. Clashing fruits, mostly blueberry, but notes of others in there (lemons maybe - I couldn’t relly pick them out).

Hazy yellow color with a small white head. Blueberry muffin aroma with a little sour lemon. Sour apricot, lemon and blueberry muffin flavor. Crisp tingly feel. Different.
