Tap @ The Bistro’s 2010 10th Annual Double IPA Festival. A dark golden amber color with a malty base and minimal hops and dry cereal finish.

"a traditional bitter that seems like it would be good enough on it’s own accord, but the addition of all kinds of oriental herbs make it a unique and tasty addition. no one spice that jumps out, just an earthy grassy note atop the traditional brew. pretty good."

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2013 Bottle. A really weird beer. Cloudy amber with a small head and medium lace. Aroma was medicinal and herbal. Taste was bitter with a herbal tea flavor. Dry aftertaste.

Hazy amber color, moderate head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is herbal, floral, lightly spicy, lightly fruity. Medium bodied, herbal floral flavor dominates. Well made but also kind of boring.

Amber in color with a white head. Interesting nose. Has some vanilla and a pleasant herbal quality. Spicy nutmeg, cinnamon, and all spice notes too., Somewhat fruity with sweet bread and toast. Somewhat sweet flavor of bread, toast, fruit, and vanill. Mild grass and tartness, lots of herbs, and some spicy nutmeg and all spice character.

On tap at the brewery. Wasn’t excited about this after pyramid chai wheat... This is far better, very good esb! Aroma is mostly malty. Flavor is very malt based with a nice tea like bitterness to finish out. In a world of super hop this, imperial that, it can be refreshing to enjoy more balanced beers. This one is great, love the herbs.

Bottle from Best Damn Beer Shop: Appeared as a dark burnt orange color with little formation of head. Aroma is soapy with a mild hop aroma. The flavor is fruity with a taste of tangerine and peach while a nice touch of hops do shine.
