Can from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pout with a frothy off white head, aroma has a hint of pine and tangerine, taste has pine, tangerine, biscuity malts, quite resinous with dank oily tropical fruits, can branding needs an uplift.

Draft at the Marin brewing company larkspur. Mostly clear light amber orange coloured pour with a fading off white head. Aroma is decent pine needle and orange rind hops , some caramel. Flavour is composed of base grains, some biscuity grains, pine needle, resinous hop, little woody bark. Palate is semi sweet, sticky resin, high carbonation. OK pale.

060116. I picked up this can from Wine Emporium a few weeks ago when I was over at Newstead. This is only my second beer for Marin Brewing and from memory the first beer that I had from them was good, as was this one. When poured into the glass a big rocky head immediately formed above a bright amber coloured beer that let off aromas of citrus and fresh cut flowers. Flavour wise the beer was good without being exceptional it was still very flavoursome with pine and citrus dominating the palate. In the mouth the beer carried a medium body that thickened up as you drank it. We are starting to see more and more craft beers in cans here in Australia lately

355ml can. Moderately cloudy, orangey, deep golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Piney and citrusy, hoppy aroma, notes of grapefruit, lemon, candied orange zest, caramel malty background. Taste is citrusy hoppy, notes of lemon, hints of grapefruit, a touch of lemon tea, moderate bitterness, light caramel malty basis. Embodiment of Californian Pale Ale.

Can from Deeside Drinks Emporium. Hazy orange body with a thin white head. Lively fizz. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange, grass and grapefruit. Flavour of orange pith, pine, caramel and juicy hops. Thin to medium body with an oily texture. Light fizz. Straightforward and well balanced.

Can at home. Aroma is malty caramel, tangerine, some pine resin, fruity hoppy notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is medium. Rather moderate malty piney APA, that being said this is a tasty and easy-going beer. Unremarkable but enjoyable.

ALLOVATE (2932) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - NOV 27, 2015
Honey amber with a whispy haze to it. A fine bead atop lifts a creamy white and tight foam up that holds for the length. Lemon, eucalypt and spearmint dominated nose with a hint of pine resin and gritty grain. Similar on the palate but much sweeter than expected. Citric, candi-like lemon and pear drops predominantly. Drabby mouthfeel, quite heavy in the stomach. Spritzy front. Light pine linger, slightly soapy. Medial bitterness needs more oomph. A sweet and sour pale ale that needs more height. Overall it is liquid health drops better suited to wane off the flu. (12fl.Oz can, Canned 17/07/15, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)

Can. Amber, white head. Mild aroma of a mixture of citrus fruit, somewhat husky grain, pepper. Some biscuit. Much sweeter than anticipated and theres some honey with the biscuit as well as a bit of boiled lolly. Quite bitter at the end with some herbal and spiced lemon. OK.
