Bottle shared by John, thanks! Poured a cloudy reddish brown with a brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of sweet grain, caramel, light fruit and bourbon. Flavor had growing sweet grain and caramel with a bit of light fruit and bourbon. Didn’t really notice any brett characteristics, but still enjoyed the beer. hopscotch (11113) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 20, 2014
Bottle… Pours hazy and caramel-colored with a mid-sized, fluffy, white head that dissipates faster than you can say “quick.” The bouquet is a blend of oaken funk, medium-dry sherry, bourbon, caramel, vanilla and coconut. Medium to full-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and jazzy carbonation. The flavor is lightly tart and mildly sweet, providing far less caramel and bourbon that the barrel aged base beer. This version is more attenuated than the regular BBA Dipsea . Less body and more carbonation. There is still a load of bourbon flavor without a lot of bourbon heat. A bit thin in places, this version. The finish is sweet and faintly tart with hints of brown south Florida cane sugar and a nice splash of bourbon. Dries out a good bit afterward. Bottle. Dark brown. Loads of molasses, bourbon, brown sugar and a very distant funky aroma. Flavor is sweet and bourbon heaven with some very light funk mixed in. Not much brett, just enough to leave you wishing for a bit more..but its delicious either way! marcus (10231) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 17, 2012
Bomber with red wax shared by IrishBoy. Pours brown with a thin beige head and a cherry and alcohol aroma. There is a chocolate cherry flavor over a sturdy sweet malt base with a bourbon finish. Nicely aged and a good use of brett. arminjewell (9676) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - AUG 23, 2010
Pours deep reddish brown with white head, aroma is bourbon, vanilla, oak, molasses, and brett funk. Taste is smooth aged hops, leading into molasses, vanilla, bourbon, and brett funk. Good, nothing else like it.
