This dark brown beer has a malt aroma. It has a chocolate coffee flavor. It goes down smooth and reminds me of a creamy coffee.

Emeryville, Ca - BevMo! - 22 oz bomber. Sable black pour, mocha colored head, Aroma of creosote and licorice. Flavor presents some topsoil notes, a bit of anise seed, solid dollop of baker’s unsweetened chocolate. Nice dryness to the mouthfeel, Rating #51 of my 2017 Northern California vacation, DocJitsu (2013) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - AUG 24, 2016
Pours a very dark brown with an espresso head. Rich, greasy, ash tray, and caramelized malt aromas. Mouthfeel is bit of a let down. Too light for a beer this big. Flavors all represent the aromas. Just not prominent enough. Missed opportunity right here. 77ships (10455) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 26, 2016
Sampled draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Black with a creamy mocha head. Nose is burned charcoal, strong roast, quite dry. Taste is strong roast, charcoal, very dry chocolate, mocha, cacao nibs. Very dry body, strong roast but also light sweeter chocolate. Reasonably decent & enjoyable. ffbot (430) - Oakland, California, USA - FEB 20, 2016

Bottle from Whole Foods Market in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malts, beef stew. Tangy, sweet and chocolatey. Great malty stout. Fatehunter (2582) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - MAY 20, 2015
Pours a finger of tan head on a black body.
The aroma is rich roasted malt, toast, burnt wood and milk chocolate.
The taste is rich malt with good balance, a touch of pine and coffee bitterness.
The texture is silky smooth and light. Wonderful.
An exceptional brew. VinegarStroke (432) - Napa, California, USA - MAR 24, 2015
Bottle: deep brown, light head and moderate lace. Very dark roasted nose with coffee, chocolate and brown source. The aroma is good but verging on bringing burnt or too heavily roasted. Dry to off dry, not sour and low bitterness. The palate is creamy but lacking in depth & complexity of flavor.
