Pours black with a decent dark khaki head, toasted oats aroma, taste of roasted coffee and smooth chocolate mouth feel, very slight bitter end. very smooth brew for the amount of body it has. Need to try this one! NickVega (154) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - AUG 19, 2007
Oh such a hoppy treat in a stout. Got to get in on tap though! You know that’s not some pasteurized preservatived bullshit -- you go to get it fresh! Suttree (6505) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - APR 28, 2003
Pours black with a tan to brown head. Smells of esspresso, and smoky, coffee, chocolate, and burnt toast are there as well. Silky smooth on the palate, and alcohol is hidden well. Very Impressive. GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - JUN 21, 2007
Pours thick and black w/ a full, semi creamy froth. Superb hangtime w/ lace. Aromas of deeply roasted chocolate malts. Full nectar w/ very few yet soft and creamy residual effers. The texture is fat and silky. This brew is heavily roasted w/ a big fat ass. With only a mild sweetness the malts devide the day w/ it’s decadent nature. It’s thick and chewy, heavily roasted, w/ defined coffee bean/ cocoa essence. There is a persistant hop profile that sticks the whole sip from start to finish. The finish is long w/ a deep seated asprin burn that lingers. SanfordBrewer (1610) - Sanford, Florida, USA - DEC 25, 2009

opaque black, fresh T1 malty T2 bitter T3, dry, §co2 §head, good thru, nice evening beer.
Looks black, thick and oily with coffee coloured head. Has a thick texture that really coats the palate. Powerful roasted malt flavour with hints of coffee/espresso. HighGravity (926) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 28, 2002
Pitch black. Good creamy head. The nose is mostly milk chocolate and coffee. The palate is smooth and straight forward. The cafe latte of beer. Reminds of a mini imperial stout. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - FEB 14, 2004
Draft at brewpub. Darkest brown, almost opaque. Roasty coffee aroma. Coffee and chocolate liquor flavors, nicely interwoven. Truly better than I can describe here. Best stout I had in the Bay area. Aquilo (658) - Berkeley, California, USA - JUN 23, 2007
This is why I love stout. Pours like liquid chocolate; chocolaty brown with a small brown frothy head. Smell is a bit. . . bright? Not what I expect from a stout. I smell caramel apples and floral arrangements. Taste is subtle yet full (if that makes any sense.) Flavors of chocolate and toffee with some sour malts coming though in the finish. Very smooth and drinkable. Mouthfeel is velvety, but just a bit watery for a stout. All in all, a wonderful beer to come home to after a long hard day at work.
