3 Flowers IPA is a straw colored Rye IPA. The three flowers referred to are Citra, Cascade, and Chinook hops, which are cast into the brew liberally, and contribute a lovely citrusy, floral aroma and a firm yet balancing bitterness. Malted rye and flaked rye, gently added to the grist of this refreshing brew, bestow an engaging dry spiciness and luscious mouth feel upon the imbiber. Please feel free to have another.

Orangeish golden colour, small head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some mild toffee and caramel. Flavour is very similar with a nice spicy and herbal touch to the hoppiness as well. Mellow, but strong bitterness in the finish.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours unclear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Nice pithy citrus in the aroma, grapefruit, tangerine, light pine. Medium sweet flavour with notes of pale bread, more tangerine, grapefruit, mellow piney bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Nicely balanced in the finish, with some mild resin, pithy grapefruit and tangerine, further piney bitterness, mellow dank edge. Nice IPA.

12/10/11/8/11/9

Bottle. It pours a dense, two-finger white head over an unclear orange-golden body. The aroma is quite yeasty, with pine cones and orange peel. Some white sugar-like notes. Its quite dry on the palate, even though theres a sugary touch to it. Bitter, resiny and orangey flavor. Some chalky yeast too. Full body and a nice carbonation. Lasting orangey finish with a nice bitterness and a good dash of malty sweetness. Quite decent this one, but too yeasty. 150228

On tap at City Beer, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out loads of flowers / floral hops, with a subtle touch of rye. Flavour brings out the best of rye and floral hops, probably more pronounced towards the rye in end of the palate. Very well-rounded with a very thin malt backing. Great stuff.

A hazed golden orange pour with a white head. Nose is rather heavy on the bread and rye. Some floral, spicy, and citrus peel hops. The rye really comes out as it warms. The flavor is fairly sweet with a ton of rye flavor. Theres a light hop bitterness, some floral hops, a light citrus note, and perhaps a hint of spice.

Bomber from the brewpub. Pour champagne bubbly gold with a slight creamy white head. Its forest flowers, rye spice and mild caramel for aroma. Med body at least. Flavor is floral and rye spice with enough caramel to support a rather large amount of hop. Hop burn builds. Not NW harsh, but very hoppy and pretty bitter. Like rye. A lot.
