Well balanced, clean finish, great for an afternoon at the BBQ. Also available in 64oz jugs for immediate consumption. Harlock99 (24) - Nova Scotia, CANADA - AUG 9, 2001
I laugh when I see idiots at the local bars and pubs drink this because they think it’s ’fancy’.
It’s actually(for me)the best beer this company makes. Well balanced cream ale with a dark tint to it. Very nice smell too. bublik (2) - CANADA - FEB 7, 2003 does not count
Really good beer! Who enjoys it should try also "Old English Porter" from BC. Backdraft (10) - Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, CANADA - APR 26, 2005
Overall, a pretty good beer. Doesn’t taste or look like a cream ale. Goes down smooth with a sudden rich mildly bitter aftertaste of caramel / molasses. In my opinion, much better than the rest of the Sleeman beers.

Nice beer from draft. Glad that Sleeman kept this one around. No real head to speak of, but nice rich colour, and clean finish. Great deal with the growler from the brewery.

Quite a dark cream ale, nice flavor, some molasses and carmel, one of the better maritime beers for me. swiseman (502) - Fredericton, New Brunswick, CANADA - JUL 5, 2004
a decent beer that looks and tastes more like a red or amber ale than a cream ale - very little head. good aftertaste. Dougan (93) - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - JAN 21, 2002
Not bad looking but the Price$$$$$$ is way to high DougShoemaker (3147) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 19, 2002
Sweet, molasses aroma, deep amber, small head. Roasted malt and treacle flavour. Good bitterness, very pleasant tongue tingle, good carbonation. Terrific on draught!
