Draught at the pub. Pour is a cloudy gold. Sweet banana (and some clove) in the aroma and flavor. Nice hefe but not outstanding. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - APR 11, 2006
This has a bit of a spicy yeastiness, with a crisp clean mouthfeel, somewhat sour, with some lemony acidity. Very typical. 3fourths (9367) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 12, 2005

Very cloudy and deep yellow in color with a big, billowy tall ice-cream head. Flavor is a little bland, stale, soapy... some sour lemon, but not tart. Paper-like, I guess, like chewing on notebook paper. Milky, yeasty nose. Simple.
on tap at the jolly roger in seattle. typical dull american wheat, at least a bit zesty in the finish but had no real yeasty qualities jeffc666 (1984) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - JUL 26, 2004
Hazy yellow-gold witha dense white head and nice lacing. Esthery wheat and light banana in the nose. Nutty, esthery, banana flavors. Sweet residual flavors, medium light palate.

Jolly Roger. Typical American wheat. Kinda hoppy, kinda, tangy, kinda lemony and pretty much kinda nothing, but easy to drink, and not all that bad.
Awesome appearance of nectar/cloudy banana liquer and creamed top with fine lacing cling to the glass. However, aside from the appearance, the brew was insipid. Little detectable aroma with a clean, bland flavor that might have held some banana in addition to the wheat and a soupcon of sourness. Macro drinkers might find this flavorful, but to me, it was boring. This is closer to an Am wheat than a German one. Crit (4099) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 8, 2003
Light fruity nose. Faintly fruit malt palate with decent body for the style. I also had it at the Archer
